He was a master riff writer and he's actually a pretty good guitar player. However, I'm not a big fan of his music and his guitar solo's are just annoying.

I've seen the videos of guitarists playing music with their fingers flying so fast you can't see them but after a minute or so I've heard enough. I can appreciate they are highly skilled guitarists but I doubt they'll ever make coin like David Gilmour.
