I have been told they are really easy to shoot even for a novice.

Every fucking sign was there to prevent this shooting as was most of the others.

When a jet crashes, every measure is taken to make sure it doesn't happen again from the investigation. Obviously law enforcement keeps doing the same thing expecting a different result.

But blaming the inanimate object does not solve the problem. 

This is a PEOPLE problem, so the focus needs to be on figuring out WHY someone would want to do these things rather than taking away the means to do them, which also takes away the rights of the 99.999% of the people who DON'T shoot into crowds.

Mental health is a HUGE issue in all of these....

That is where the concentration needs to be...it can't be a blanket solution that punishes everyone because of the few.

Identifying them, not ignoring it, as we've seen FAR TOO MANY times and action is required. I certainly do not have all those answers but I for one am certainly open to those discussions.

I am not willing to just write off an individuals' civil rights.

When someone is criminally dangerous there needs to be a path to cull them and segregate them until such time that they are not a danger. That necessarily requires courts and doctors to be involved. There needs to be a clear path for people to work their way out of that system so that it does not become a catch-all dead end....

We have seen cases of parents trying to get a kid help, to no avail....as I have said previously, when my teenage son was having issues, my firearms left my house until such time as there was no longer any cause for alarm.

Parents need to be honest  about their kids and they need to act accordingly or risk being held accountable.

I was pretty rebellious in high school.

Got chased by the cops (many) on my motorcycle through the end of day at school.

I was ditching with a Girl. Rode the bike (illegal) to her house ,parents weren't home .

Just making out.

left for home and PoPo sees me , The chase is on I split the streets past the school as it let out.

Flipped off the PoPo and blasted through the school lot.(surprise)!! I was recognized.

So Cops know and School knows. But Dad don't know. The look on his face was Epic!!

I was then offered The opportunity to attend an alternative School.

Which my Father applauded.

For the school problem we Need an alternative High or Low School for the kids with Alternative needs.

No Bullies , No Excuses. We have the Money for this. Good Counseling and Great monitoring.

When these laws were written, it was unheard of to have a child bring a gun to school, or anywhere else.  Now, it's so easy to get a gun and the culture around guns have changed so much, that the laws need to be re-written.

With the way current politics are, it's nearly impossible to get anything done.

When I was in high school most every pickup had at least one shotgun or rifle in it. Our vise principle had a very expensive looking shotgun that he showed off. Amazingly no one got killed! Of course that was a different time in life. No one got fat headed back then.
