My wife's dad lives in Greeneville TN. He said they got 13 inches of rain from the storm. luckily his house in on a hill and he has a steel roof and brick exterior so he didn't have any damage from the storm. He normally goes to the same small diner for breakfast everyday. He said the bridge he has to cross was washed away from the rain so he has to to find a new way there.

UPDATE: It's helping. From Wings of Hope: "We were just able to get a second helicopter for two days, gas bill funded. There are two of us now. It's huge, will post more about the impact and what's going on tomorrow, but this is a really really big deal and saving a lot of people's lives. So many dead, they are not talking about it, is sad to see. Like a war zone."

My wife's dad lives in Greeneville TN.

One of the guys who works for a tool vender I use retired to western Tennessee earlier this year.
He said his house is high up on a hill and he suffered no flooding. He also got about 13" of rain overnight and lost a couple of trees but all is well.

A few of our employees in FL are in mandatory evacuation zones. The others are preparing for a serious event. So far, the building we are in has previously made it through the biggest hurricane to ever hit FL and did not flood or sustain any major damage. Hopefully that holds true for this storm as well. I'm supposed to go back in 3 weeks.
