Was 2020 election rigged? | Saagar Enjeti and Lex Fridman

I'll go back to being a conservative, when conservatives go back to being conservative.

Everyone knows the answer to this question, but many refuse to admit it because orangemanbad.

Saagar is a Republican who voted for Trump, so you can't say that he thinks it's b/s because "orangemanbad"

I shouldn't say b/s, but his take on it is at least reasonable. I'm guessing that it's a take that wouldn't be popular with either voter base extreme.

He was spot on with the low IQ stop the steal analysis.

The high IQ stop the steal analysis had to be twisted to make it work and he did touch on that.

It doesn't matter now, the Repugs no longer think we have crooked elections since the last one.

He wasn't defending the so called "High IQ" version. He was just pointing out that it was a smarter argument, even though when you read between the lines, the Republicans in NC did the same damn thing after the hurricane. So basically, it's only a problem if it affects your candidate.

My interpretation of that may not be 100%.  :D

I agree. He was trying to rationalize the thought behind the "high IQ" argument, if argument it is.

Honestly the high IQ argument is only a little more high IQ than the low IQ argument. But if you deliver the high IQ argument to a low information voter it looks more believable.

I don't know if you made it all the way to the end of the video where they start discussing how disturbing it is that the voter base, without any solid evidence, just buys in to these narratives.

A little pre-warning. He takes an equal shot at Democrats willingness to believe media crap as well. Starts at 10 minutes in.

The Roger Ailes comment "people don't want to be informed, they just want to feel informed" is pretty genius and is spot on when it comes to a lot of these topics. Some more than others.

Saagar is what I used to think Ben Shapiro was. An intelligent right leaning guy who was willing to stray from popular opinion. It turned out that Ben Shapiro is just a dumb mans smart guy.

Hence the importance of echo chambers, and the importance of ensuring that participants of said echo chambers don't realize they are in one.

Is there nothing better to talk about than a 4 year ago election that now means nothing.

The point of the conversation isn't about a 4 year ago election. It's more important and disturbing than that.

So MAGA nutcons whine about the 2020 election, every day all day for the last four years, claiming it was rigged/stolen/fraudulent, all without a shred of evidence, and now the topic is off limits? Especially now that the incoming administration is looking to legitimize these unfounded claims, and pardon some of the most obscene and egregious actors of these lies?

As YoDoug says, "Those who fail to learn from history are doomed to repeat it." Unfortunately, him, and millions of others like him, are the ones who have failed to learn.

Maybe that's what they tell you in your echo chamber.

There you go talking shit again. You have absolutely zero clue who he will pardon until he pardons them.
But keep being a dumbsmit, it makes me laugh daily.
