The irony in that post is almost poetic in form, as if it were written by Shakespeare, himself.

Am I wrong in noticing that you only seem to be concerned about the lies told by people that you vote against?

This is perhaps the most poignant thing I've seen in your posts lately. They ARE incredibly important as a tool of mass social control.

I found an interview of Bucky/Dumbsmit, it turns out they're the same person.

it didn't go over my head. It was brilliant prose. you should take a bow...and then google Ben Rhodes. Ben Rhodes was the first person who taught me the word echo chamber and how they work. I'm sure other people have know the term for a while, but he is the one who introduced it to me.

if you are too lazy or just wholly uninterested, or still don't have the abiltiy to google, here it is in Ben Rhodes own words:
https://www.nytimes.com/2016/05/08/magazine/the-aspiring-novelist-who-became-obamas-foreign-policy-guru.html

And then there is this little story on how Ben Rhodes used the Echo Chamber to promote the Russia Collusion story to keep Trump from hurting Obama's legacy
https://www.hudson.org/national-security-defense/the-echo-chamber-strikes-back

Then there is Chris Cillizza apologizing for not digging in to Biden's mental decline deeper

in it he says he took the white house at their word that Biden was as sharp as ever, like any "true" journalist would, but what he didn't say, there is that so did all of the other news stations did the same thing creating an echo chamber that Biden was as strong as ever, and you might recall the furor over Ben Hur's report by the same stations when Mr Hur accurately described Biden's mental decline in his report.

And then we could come to the grips of the use of an Echo Chamber. Originally invented and used skillfully by democrats who have an admirable hold on media, (both news and entertainment), universities, and big tech. They can masterfully use it control almost any topic they want. Republican have attempted do the same thing with limited results, and to counter those results the larger echo chamber drowns out the lesser echo chamber with labels such as "deniers" or "conspiracies" or "spreaders of misinformation." keep in mind that the people in the large echo chamber who are accusing the smaller echo chamber of misinformation told the large echo chamber people that Biden was sharp as ever, that Trump, who has Jewish children and grandchildren is a nazi, that George Bush who has one of the 3rd or 4th biggest non profit charities in Africa of any person on the planet is racist, that a person born with xy chromosomes can actually be a woman if they feel like they are a woman, that if they make all drugs legal and accessible there will actually be less drug abuse, that there are more unarmed black men shot by cops than unarmed white men. That Republicans are the only ones abusing gerrymandering.

so yeah, the irony of someone wholly engrossed in the big echo chamber talking about the people engrossed in the small echo chamber as being ignorant. Well, gosh, bless your little heart, there, smarty pants. You just keep on doin what you're doin.  ::)

He mentioned that PedoJoe couldn't remember when his son Beau died then Hur said "I can't prosecute this guy, he's a well meaning elderly man with a poor memory".
THEN
The gaslighting went into full force with Kumbucket coming out and saying those comments were "gratuitous, inaccurate and inappropriate and politically motivated". When she should have thanked him.

If the dumbass lefties can't see even those lies, then it's cognitive dissonance. Refusing to see the truth because orangemanbad.

Wow, an even more long winded way of saying you didn't get my point, and likely never will. Do yourself a favor and try and stray away from sources that do nothing but confirm your biases. I do. At least one other member of this forum does as well. So much so, that we are often referred to as a pair, even thoough we've never met, and don't even know each other's names. (There might be one other who is lumped in the same category, but he's mostly a fence sitter, so doesn't count.)

Meanwhile, the majority of this forum is so engrossed in their own lies and hyperbole that some of us feel the need to back off for days and weeks at a time so you guys can wipe the splooge off each others' faces. Which is fine. It's entertaining, especially to those of us who can look on from a distance and understand that the majority of what you guys are saying is not based in fact or reality. Enjoy. Just keep the tissue paper close by.

Take care and Happy Holidays!!

so stay away from the NYTimes, Hudson.org, and Chris Cillizza's own you tube channel? are those right wing echo chambers now?

I'd love to hear what places you go to that don't confirm your biases.

Quote from: neurosis on December 19, 2024, 06:51 AMI don't know if you made it all the way to the end of the video where they start discussing how disturbing it is that the voter base, without any solid evidence, just buys in to these narratives.

A little pre-warning. He takes an equal shot at Democrats willingness to believe media crap as well. Starts at 10 minutes in.

I only watched half of the video initially but just finished the 2nd half a moment ago.

He did "take a shot" at Democrats, and that's fine. Everybody has a tendency to want to believe things that confirm what they want to believe. Confirmation bias is a real thing. Even for "fence sitters." :)

I do wish he would have elaborated further on the things he mentioned. "Russiagate" and Cambridge Analytica. If Cambridge Analytica was a false story I'd like to know why

Most of the left-center for right-center provide pretty good news reporting but are biased in the editorial departments. To me I want high factual and credible reporting.

I like Reuters.

I'm Rubber, You're Glue.
"I'm rubber, you're glue" is a common childhood rhyme and expression that means insults or criticisms directed at someone will bounce off and stick to the person who said them. It's often used in arguments to indicate that the person being insulted is actually the one who embodies the connotation they intended. The full phrase is likely "I'm rubber, you're glue; whatever you say bounces off me and sticks to you".
