I've never heard of free Postability posts.
Are you thinking about the free Inhouse mpmaster lathe and mill posts??

Postability processors for all default machines? Bye bye MPMaster, IKE and MPFan? Who knows at this point.

Bring all posts and verification tools under the Sandvik umbrella, then let us know we can't modify posts ourselves anymore? It sounds crazy to us, but they're clearly not taking power users into consideration for their next play to expand the user base. Especially with the new corporate hires touting the amazing benefits of SaaS, 'creating integrated solutions' and the direct sales model.

Dunno, maybe feeling conspiratorial and doom and gloomy this morning.

I didn't know what SaaS meant so I looked it up

QuoteSaaS, which stands for Software-as-a-Service, is a model where vendors make software products available to customers over the internet on a subscription basis.

Quote from: gcode on January 23, 2025, 05:49 AM Postability will be integrating with the Mastercam platforms.

I have no idea what this means

It just means that downloads, email addresses, etc will be coming from mastercam.com, rather than maintaining separate repositories and backend technologies. There's no other changes from a support or distribution standpoint- Postability is very good at what they do and there's no reason to muck with that.

Yes, my apologies. I was thinking of Inhouse. Hahaha, it has been so long.

MPMaster posts are no longer updated
The last version was for MC2023.
They are still available for free download from v8 to MC2023

Well. All my posts are modded MPMaster... I'll keep bumping them up each version until they stop working in Ver 20XX for whatever reason, and chug along. Has built in setup sheets, a dialed post for each machine here, and I'm comfortable modding and adding functionality as needed so far. So I hope it stays supported. If the posts we have stop working that will certainly be the end of an era.

I guess that is falling in line with the mantra.... Is MP.NET still only in the MT domain? They haven't rolled it out to the norm?

It is, thus that's part of the reason why MT is locked out.

There was talk of rolling it out to other posts but un my time the worry was maintaining all of the legacy posts, purchased and otherwise

I remember the talk about it at the time. I always enjoyed working with the MP post processors. You can do so much within the PST file.
