This fire ranks up with the time Joe almost lost his Corvette in a fire.

thankfully the stacks of pilfered Top Secret government documents Joe stored in the garage saved the day

Quote from: Bucky Cornstarch on January 09, 2025, 07:52 AMHey dipshit, arguing that climate change isn't happening and isn't a factor in the severe weather events we've been experiencing goes beyond the level of stupidity that even you have displayed here. Hint: Over 90% (it's actually closer to 97%, but facts rarely sway the indoctrinated) of climate scientists believe that climate change is a thing, and that humans are a contributing factor. It is no one's fault but your own that the media you choose to consume emphasizes the tiny percentage of scientists who believe climate change is a hoax, and that you aren't shrewd enough to decern that.

So, let's go with something that the average Trump voting knucklehead does understand: Anecdotal evidence. I grew up in California, lived there for 50+ years, still own a house there, and still pay taxes (and fire insurance) there. There are way more large catastrophic fires now than there were before.

Simple enough for you?

forest fire acres burned per year, although I guess you could argue that the most recent stat put out by the USDA is 2017. I'm not sure why that is.

this is from epa stats

And in other news: Trump tells Rogan that a man who jumped in to a tank full of sharks, might get bit by a shark.

He's a profit.  Who would have saw another fire in California coming. Only trump.  lol.

Washington state has seen increased rainfall due to climate change and increased wildfire burn acreage.

So... how many mentally ill homeless, drug addicts and arsonists have moved to Washington over the last 5 or so years?

Asking for a friend.

It's probably magic that they don't both happen at the same time of the year?  :D

I hadn't heard that we've had increased rain fall.  It's always rained too much for my liking. I do hear that we don't have the snow pack every year that we used to which leads to summer droughts.

that is a good point. It's never enough to look at a single stat and draw a conclusion. Thomas Sowell points that out a lot.

Western washington has always been rainy but since the Californication of Washington state forest management has nearly haulted.
its just a dumpster fire at this point but just wait, summer is coming and that forest is stacked with fuel.

Crazy how close all those houses are built to each other. How does all those homes burn to the ground yet trees are still standing with leaves still on them.

Unfortunately, more often than not Thomas Sowell's pearls are cast before swine. 80,000,000 are too fuckin' stupid to get or understand his wisdom.
