You're right. There is a difference. Trump does both. Trump is in a more or less constant state of hyperbole and that's a lot easier to ignore than Trump saying something like "Newsom 'refused to sign' a declaration that would have allowed water to flow from North" when there was no such "declaration". 

Someone in here said it best when they said "California's water issues are complicated."

In "spirit" Trump is not lying. Newscum HAS placed more emphasis or rather given a higher priority to discharging water through waterways than to storage. That's not open for debate, the legislative trail of tears is there in all it's glory for those who question the veracity of it all.

Now, that said, personally I was not aware of any such "declaration" the Trump aluded to. That doesn't mean Trump isn't lying and does not mean Newscum isn't lying. Newscum is a lying shitbag of the highest order. Governor grease....

Remember, that fuckstick was dining out with his donors and friends at French Laundry in Napa (IIRC) all the while the majority of businesses and restaraunts in the state remained shuttered during the height of COVID. So pardon me if I do not give that shitbird the benefit of the doubt.

Don't get me wrong here, I'm not trying to defend Newsom. I want to be clear on that. I have a feeling that we've only scratched the surface of what the potential failures are in LA/Cali. 

When I go to find information on what's going on regarding these fires and the headline reads "Trump says Newsom refuses to sign water restoration declaration, then I go to look it up and there is no evidence that such a declaration ever existed, I would expect Trump to either figure out what document he's referring to (he has a staff for that) or admit that he may have made a mistake. All he's done is double and triple down on the statement. That's when I don't have a problem calling Trump a liar. If I'm trying to find legit information and am being intentionally mislead, then.... 

There are several other things that Trump has either claimed in a tweet (I can't bring myself to say truth) or comment to a reporter that there is no way to verify what he's saying is true. I'd post them but I don't want to be accused of spreading left wing talking points.

I honestly would not put it past Trump and his team to obfuscate the matter in order to make Newscum look worse.

What Trump doesn't get isliterally all he/his team have to do is examine his legislative record and it would nationally destroy Newscum. For whatever reason he's disregarding that and going after some seemingly imaginary "declaration". Could there be one behind closed doors? Oh yeah. Certain things in California are only available through FOIA requests. If you thought California DMVwas the model of government inefficiency, they've got NOTHING on the Information Gatekeepers. Those people are criminals and the lapdog state run media there, give them a pass.
