Quote from: beej on January 02, 2026, 01:45 PMBut you are sort of missing my point. If there was direct evidence that Trump was abusing kids with Epstein. Biden would have/should have released it. He had the authority to do it. he didn't. that makes me think, there is not the evidence you think there is based on what this reporter claims there is on that youtube video.

I understand the point you're trying to make. I've heard the same talking point countless times.

I don't know that anyone has said that there is direct evidence that Trump was abusing kids with Epstein. Everything is circumstantial, right?  That, and he's been accused of sexual misconduct how many times? And has been friends with Epstein how long? And has been recorded on the flight log after saying he wasn't talking to Epstein how many times? etc, etc, etc,

At this point you might as well say that you don't believe he's ever screwed over a contractor.

Who cares about redacting that information now? And who's in charge of redacting it?

I would say I'm gonna be excited for 2028 when Trump is out of office so it's not all we see on this forum, but I have a feeling it'll still be mostly - "But Trump"

I'm sure that you'll be hearing about the damage he's done to this country and it's reputation for years and years to come.  Maybe not here, but I'm sure you'll hear it.  :D

Our reputation on the world stage is complete and total trash. Has been for years if not decades.

Our trading "partners" want to talk trash because we aren't letting them get away with the one-sided nonsense anymore. Good. They can eat can of spotted dick, a ton of baguettes, and a truckload of saurkraut.

Pay your agreed upon portion of NATO, or learn to speak Russian and write in Cyrillic.

Beej, with all the respect in the world, I think you're 50 year behind the times.
I somewhere linked an article from Bozo Johnsons right hand man discussing military procurement and the Secretary of State was excluded from the Whitehall/MOD meetings because he was thought of as a "security risk".
I'd put 1000bucks the USA is absolutely no difference.
And that's ignoring Buyed-In The Brain - he had handlers clear as daylight telling him what to do. I even question his own ability to choose his ice cream flavour....
Whitehall runs the UK (via the Cabinet Secretary).
Despite what we're told, USA will be the same.

It's going to take a Democrat being in charge of the Country before you start to understand. By then, you'll just blame the Democrat and ignore that the precedence was set during this administration.

Free fiss.

These one sided trade deals over the last 40+ years have done nothing but decimate our nation. One POTUS, ONE has seen the wisdom in "Ya know... we REALLY need to make more stuff here." Yeah he's crass. Yeah he talks too much. Yeah he's downright mean sometimes. And yeah, he berates our allies. But guess what, those "allies" have taken advantage of our generosity. Those "allies" have screwed the American worker out of their livelihoods. Those "allies" have not negotiated trade deals in good faith.

Enjoy Sharia law. Enjoy learning Russian. You need us more than we need you. You know it. I know it. We ALL know it.

Want to be friends, let's negotiate in good faith. Let's be equal partners. Let's not harm each other's citizenry. Let's start there.

We can all blame corporate whatever, but the buck stops with national trade agreements. Those are supposed to be the guardrails. We give those true enemies of the state a pass for what legislation they passed.

When the other guy starts taking advantage of the b/s unilateral authority enabled by this admin, you can call it whatever you want.

I'm going to sit here and laugh at you guys for celebrating it before I remind you of what you were celebrating.

This consolidation of power is going to bite you in the ass at some point.

I hate it now.

To be clear, I'm not in favor of a war with Venezuela.

I'm also not in favor of China hoarding the world's supply of strategic minerals not within their country's borders.

So, if we have to do something I'm not in favor of in order to avoid something REALLY bad in the future, the lesser of two evils it is unfortunately.

I am 100% in favor of Trump not letting the Senate Committee usually apprised of these events know ahead of time. I guarantee you the Demonrats would most certainly have tipped off Maduro.

Now, Trump has either fixed something or he's broken something. Time will tell. We may not know the end result for several years.

Here's the other thing, I'm NOT learning Russian. I'm NOT learning Chinese, and I'm sure as hell NOT learning whatever language they speak in North Korea. We let China and Russia get all the rare earth minerals, it puts us in a position that will prevent us from being able to defend ourselves in the future.

THAT would be the unacceptable position for me, period, end of story. Prevent that at all costs. We lose that, we lose everything.

This isn't about Suzie and Karen powering their EV's so they can get their kids off to soccer practice. This is about being able to maintain the Government's  constitutionally mandated contract with us to provide defense of the nation.

Yep, and we have the Democrats to thank for putting up a prostitute that can't string together two sentences as their best and brightest. So there's that.
