People ARE getting handouts AND buying all kinds of luxury cars...I lived in Lawrence Mass for many years, one of the welfare capitols' of Massachusetts, don't tell me it isn't happening.

And yes, it's too early to know anything for sure, but the track record to date is to slash everything to pieces in the name of fraud and cost reductions and then worry about the consequences later, if at all. And something tells me that once Trump is out of office, he's not going to care how it works out for the rest of us.

Yep, my SIL is having surgery today being paid for by medicaid. She drove to the hospital in a 2024 chevy silverado quad cab. She is able to do this, by not getting married to her live-in fiance of 15 years who has a 6 digit job plus flips houses on the side. But in order to not have to pay for insurance, as far as the government knows, she is an unmarried mother of 3 with no job.
