We've got a Okuma Genos M660 coming in today. Okuma has been running an impressive sale on these since IMTS.

I got an email the other day for a $99k special M560V. We have capacity in our mills but at that price we may scoop one up. We really need to add more turning capacity. Boss had me do layouts to figure out where we could fit four more machines so I'm sure another LT3000 or Multus B300 will be ordered soon.

A beautiful machine. I'm jealous.

After Trump announced his tariffs yesterday the boss got a quote on an M560 this morning. Wants to buy from inventory before tariffs effect pricing.

Good luck. He better get on it.

I heard a number of models have been selling at absurdly low prices lately.

Excess inventory burn off?

Switching out inventory for new P500 controls. There was a hit list.

I simply don't understand how Haas, and others, stays in the same class business against the Genos line

Speaking of new controls, FANUC has published some stuff on their new 500i. It's the replacement for the 30i-Series.

I got a good look at it at IMTS last year. Reading about it after seeing it... pretry cool. Finally pretty comfortable with the iHMI interface and like that, change is on the horizon.

IMO, that is reason enough to buy one now. We have 18 P300 machines and 1 P500 machine. It is a Multus U3000 so a more complicated machine, but we have 7 other Multus and 3 LT3000 that have P300. The P500 has so many more button pushes and steps to do things that we only have 1 or 2 people that can run it. Whereas half a dozen that can run the P300 machines.

I don't know why they decided to go this route with the P500 machines.
I'd wager that they will see a decent decline in sales once the masses realize the safety differences.
