This part of the bill is one thing that I don't get. Given city centers are usually left leaning and so many conservatives enjoy the outdoors, that many of the right leaning common folk would want to see their public land sold off and access restricted:

How do you guys justify wanting this?
Theres many ways to balance a budget, and selling off land is something you'll never, ever get back.

Not the same, but if you've ever driven on the 401 in Ontario, consider that the 407 used to be a public highway...

While I do not like the ide of selling off federal lands, a little perspective is needed. The bill proposes selling up to 5 million acres of land. The total US acreage is 2.26 billion and the federal government owns 640 million. This seems like a big nothing burger. They like to show polls showing a high percentage of people opposed but if you look at the poll questions they don't give any perspective on how much land. IMO, if selling <1% of federal lands can generate revenue that helps reduce deficits, I say go for it.

That depends on what land is sold and how it's used? It looks like they're only proposing the sale of land in 10 States. Just looking at Washington State, they're proposing selling a lot of land in the Cascade Mountain Range.

This is probably going to meet some legal challenges?

I'll go back to being a conservative, when conservatives go back to being conservative.

I guess you guys have already gotten your memo's on what to be offended by today...

It seems you have a problem with Trespassing on someone's property.

Yes I have been invited to Dove Hunt on 2500 acres in Texas. Courtesy of my employer.

we were given strict boundaries as they respected other peoples property. ("Get down with the OPP")

I have trouble understanding your Angst. When all of the land has been opened up for Housing.

And has nothing to do with the area you live in.

Or are you just (Trump Bitching)??

The majority of the land in my state is under federal control... read shitbird city fucks that wouldn't know how to care for and manage open space if they were gifted it. I'm not really OK with those city fucks telling us how to manage our space when their space looks like a 3rd world shit hole.

Beautify your WHOLE city, then I might listen to what you have to say.

National Parks I'm good with.
