Northern Idaho might as well be a different state from the rest of the place. Up north, anti-.gov and white supremacist people have settled into some pretty remote, off the grid type of places....and they have been up there for years. It is a fairly small chunk, say from I-90 north. If you are an outsider, its best not to explore random roads and trails, no matter your race.

South of there...still pretty white, but more and more Latino's have settled.

Source...lived there since 1973. Not in Idaho right now, but I can be there in 15 minutes.

Quote from: Del. on June 30, 2025, 10:43 AMQuestion for you gun folks. A law enforcement officer testified in a murder trial that a person's accuracy with a 9 MM is 20%. Is that true?
That 20% figure is a wildly subjective and therefore really useless stat.

If he's speaking just about law enforcement in general, judging from the amount of supressive fire lead downrange we see on body can/car cam footage during an OIS incident, I'd say it's lower than that. :coffee:

The "average" LE Professional will shoot only for qual. Meaning they shoot 1-2x per year to maintian theor POST cert.

JP is spot on.

Also should be noted, only ~3% of LE Professionals will discharge their duty weapon in their career. Contrary to popular belief, it's REALLY pretty rare. Most TV cop shows, have them shooting nearly every episode. FOr a single officer to be involved in more than one OIS in their career is extraordinarily rare.

Also, over 50% will never even draw their duty weapon.

My best friend (medically retired Riverside County Sheriff) was in a specialized unit for over half his career (24 years) where the lions share of the OIS tend to ocurr. He was never once involved in one and he is a shit magnet.

The defendant was charged with shooting a man 3 times from a car. Cop said it was unlikely that he did it as even LEO only hit about 20% of their targets from a standing position with a 9 MM. The guy walked in the case.

Its really sad. A lot of people I know regularly do the USPSA shoots. (United States Practical Shooting Association)
These guys shoot a lot. Its not uncommon for them to put 1000 rounds downrange a week. Very few if any are law enforcement. Pride being the only reason. A typical cop does not want to be out-shot to a mere civilian, so they just don't compete.

Thing is most cops have access to an unlimited supply of ammo, supplied by whatever bullet mfg. At the local range here, there are times when it is shut down except to local law enforcement. It is usually busy during these times, so they (some) are out there doing what they should be doing (practicing). It does speak volumes about how they just won't compete with civilians.

Yep.

A MILLION Californian Democrats could leave the state and it wouldn't even make a dent.

Those million people would be an invasive species TOTALLY decimating any region they chose to.go.

It makes me sick those locusts voted for the shithole that is The People's Republik of Kommieforniastan, and they do the same shit wherever they go.

When I lived in Colorado in the early 1970's there were bumper stickers that said

Don't Californicate Colorado

At the time Cali was a red state and the bumper stickers were just about environmental and crowding issues,

Honestly, I have a hard time understanding how that sign say's anything other than literally, "everyone is welcome here". They'll force Christianity down the throats of students who aren't Christian, but god forbid we put any sign up that implies that all races are welcome?

"Idaho bills could bring Bible reading, Ten Commandments to public schools"

You guys are going to have to make this one make sense to me.  :D

Well, we kinda already knew that when we were talking about Northern Idaho being a cesspool of racism.  I was surprised to see that this wasn't in Norther Idaho.

In your opinion, who isn't welcome? (in Idaho schools I mean) Besides Californians?  :D

Reading the last paragraph of an article written about this -

"ask yourself: Who exactly is it that is offended by such a sign?"
