More questions:

-Will the standard Mosnic Lift Up chip conveyor work good for aluminum fines or are there better options?

-Has anyone added the BK Mikro in-magazine tool check to these machines?

@CNCAppsJames If i get this machine it would be through selway, is there a way i can request you for training? Maybe make it part of the conditionals on the PO? ;D

I think i put this thread in the wrong section, can a mod please move this to the industrial....
Nobody has been doing palletized 5-Axis longer than Matsuura. NOBODY. From chip management, to interior lighting, features and functions, it's definitely a well thought out product line.

Of all the chip management offerings I've seen Matsuuras come with, we get the fewest complaints with Mosnic. We get the most complaints about LNS. We had a customer return a machine because of a fuckin' LNS.... piece of shit. Matsuura USA stopped bringing them in bare after that.

Better options... hmmmm. I guess you could go with one of those German grinder conveyors that has paper. That's about the best option on the planet.

We have a few customers with BK Micro systems. High Production sees the greatest gains from it. If your machine is idle more than 10min a day... it's not gaining you anything.

THere has been more than one sale that was conditional on my training the customer. :rofl: We're always happy to accomodate a customer however we can. Some customers like certain service techs... so they may have to wait a few extra days or a week, so yeah. You can do that and we'll honor the request. :D

@Zoffen

Pallet size... I REALLY like the Matsuura Pallet sizes. It allows you to run the shortest risers and shortest tools and holders. Max rigidity.

Yes its pretty nice that the C6 interface is built into the table. I don't have the cash for a PC and have 45 pallets from my current cell that with a stud swap will work with a Vero S. Now that i'm looking at everything i think the MX-330 might be a touch too small when i get all my goodies in there, or i will just be getting value out of every inch of its travel! Time to get a Vericut machine setup and make digital simulated chips!

You should see the number of 8" projection holders I have just sitting behind the machine because 4" is all I ever need (unless doing tombstone work and need the reach)
the mx-330 is designed in such an awesome/ergonomic way, couldn't believe how close you can get a 4" er16 to the center/base of pallet.

Even the MAM -52v has incredible clearance because of the way the pallet is sitting on those little 4x 'risers'
here is a 4.XX" projected holder sitting at the base of the lang jaws without any riser at all.

And you don't have a gigantic spindle and housing like our Okuma does to get in the way.
Don't get me wrong, this Okuma is a great , solid machine. But some of the design choices leave me scratching my head on this 460.
