Quote from: Del. on July 24, 2025, 11:20 AMI saw the Hulk walking on the beach one time in St Pete.
A friend of mine said she and her kids sat next to him in a movie theater in Florida. She said he was the nicest person.

He was a good guy as I heard.

I was never a fan but did watch him in the "Rocky " movie. :)

Drowned in Costa Rica yesterday, age 54.

It comes in threes, it seems. (Malcolm-Jamal Warner)

I was looking for something to watch on Netflix and stated watching Sneaky Pete last Friday (its pretty good). The parole officer looked like Warner to me so I look it up and it was him. I started watching the show when he was still alive (for a couple days).

Kind of had a Michael Jordan Rep, people loved him but "on the field" he could be frustrating to other wrestlers. As far as wrestling, he was pretty bad.
Undeniable entertainment value

He (Malcolm-Jamal Warner) was in a series with Luke Perry called Jeremiah about a dystopian future that I really liked. I don't ever see that mentioned.

I enjoyed watching him as a kid. And he broke out of wrestling to become a mainstream name, arguably one of the first to do so. I was surprised to see that he was only 71...we all know he juiced up a bunch early in his career, but he managed to stay looking the same age from the mid 90's till today.

The Hulk put his faith in the Lord a couple of years ago and was baptized to show his belief. He said he was " all in " To many there is peace knowing that death is not final.

There was lots of Hulk Hate on NPR this morning.
His appearance at the Republican Convention last year triggered a whole bunch
of liberal Karens who never watch wrestling or Republican Conventions,
but now he's THE WORST THING EVER!!!!!!!!!!

I was never a wrestling fan. I could probably only name 5 pro wrestlers, if that.

Hulk was the most notorious to me.

I also don't watch those conventions so

What a dumb reason to hate the guy?  But I don't understand people hating any celebrity for their political views.
I'll go back to being a conservative, when conservatives go back to being conservative.

Back in the 60's I lived in Saudi Arabia and the oil company broadcast 3 hours of TV a night.
What was broadcast had to be approved by Saudi government censors and very few American TV shows or movies
made that cut.
Pro Wrestling did make the cut though I have no idea what they called it back then.
I was 12 or 13 at the time. I watched it about 2 times and thought it was the stupidest thing I'd ever seen in my life.
58 years later that opinion has not changed. I've never watched it and know nothing about it.

I always liked Macho Man and Roddy Piper.

Have you seen Dan Soder's Macho Man impression?  Holy shit it's spot on.

He also does a near perfect Dave Chappelle.
