Hows the syncing... do you get that in Lathe, or do you still need MT for that?
MT only... Haven't been using the lathe side. I guess it's going away?

Last I spoke with my reseller...he indicated that things were going to migrate to mill-turn and lathe was going to be retired.

If this is true, that might be the last nail in the coffin for MC in our shop.

I don't see the management buying Mill-Turn when we've already paid for the lathe module. Hopefully the last version before lathe drops isn't too buggy.

Really... lucky Lathe users.. Imagine getting all that extra stuff, along with MP.NET... no more user edit posts.

TBF.... Lathe has been semi-retired, for the best part of 15 years.... :whistling:

Lathe has gotten as much attention as red-headed stepchild with hep and AIDS. The UI has not changed since V8. Not X8, V8.

If you don't believe me, look at the link below. I know its for V9.1, you will just have to trust me that V8 looked exactly the same. And for the few menu's I bothered to look at....they are still the same, 25+ years later.

Yes, they have added functionality. But wow...25 years without bothering with the user interface. The red-headed stepchild likely has gotten more attention.

The conversation probably went like this for the past 20 years:

Developer/User:"Hey are we going to update lathe in anyway?"

Management: "No we are going to kill that and roll lathe into the mill-turn product/code base"

Developer: "Sounds good boss. I will go look at cat videos online and pretend to work....
User: "WTF why can't you resize this window, etc, why is this so ghetto...?"

Management: "Don't worry the new mill-turn module is coming and will address all of your issues and make magic! Trust me Bro!"

This question is offensively racist!
The interface is not "ghetto", it's "DOS 2.0 themed" for us very old school users
