Just thought I'd throw this out there.
Doing some thin walled parts on a multifunction lathe.
 Radial broaching with B90(pointed down).
This instance is using a balanced design that'll just be straight in straight out...
So custom drill cycle in MC? Never used it

Also going to be doing some axial single point, similar to a keyway.

Shut up and macro program or somebody got a clever CAM trick?

Would you not want to draw the geo and drive the path so you get exactly the pass and feed out/retract that you want?
I realise you then will need to array multiple times for the next and next and next cut....

In the late 90's early 2000's i thought there was a c-hook made for this?k There were 3 axis machines that this was an option for that they were selling for broaching electrodes and some steel applications.

Otherwise I'd agree with Newbee.

PRO TIP
Sending it out to a broaching house is MUCH cheaper than replacing spindle bearings  8)

Sounds about right for the HYPE mill!

Topsolid should be able to support this over mulitple machine configs

HyperSHILL is more like it. They can talk about people finding bugs when they have more than 1000 people banging on it for a living.

When 400,000 are banging on your software, stuff will get exposed.

I wrote a flexible broaching macro then setup a custom drill cycle with all of the required inputs.

Can't backplot it but it works as coded

They're doing pretty decent at the mill turn game. I'm impressed.
Haven't done a full twin spindle with transfer and let it fly yet. Not sure I trust it THAT much.

3D tools are officially THIS century unlike that 1992 lathe tools we've been saddled with

Wooo! 3D tools! Sorry, couldn't resist.

Hows the syncing... do you get that in Lathe, or do you still need MT for that?
