Quote from: Jeff on August 19, 2025, 08:19 AMThis one wasn't difficult to look up at all:

Did any of the people sent to El Salvador (including those who didn't break any other laws than being in the Country illegal) receive due process? They defended sending them there without due process. That's not hyperbole.

We've had a few of these conversations on the forum already. I remember a couple of people saying that they don't deserve due process. That's the general attitude of most Trump supporters I've seen talk about it.

Now imagine being a US citizen getting caught up in that.

Maybe, but entirely possible given the fact that the left has had it out for him every day since 2016, I think it's safe to assume that it's true.

Think of it this way, they were ILLEGAL aliens, right? If they would have gone thru the proper channels to enter this country and become a citizen, that wouldn't have happened.

But yeah... blame Trump because those people were here illegally and trafficking drugs and humans, committing murder, etc...
Those particular scum don't deserve oxygen.

Jeff

Some people are more concerned for illegals than citizens and will use every excuse in the book to make Trump the bad guy.

What's the penalty for entering the Country illegally? Indefinite prison in one of the worst prisons in the world? You kinda straw maned me, but I don't want to argue about that. I've said before that I don't care where the actual hardened criminals get sent, as long as it's proven that they're criminals.

Back on topic - the point is, a US Citizen shouldn't have to be worried about getting caught up in that, and when you read that "At least 38 citizens in Los Angeles alone had been detained by July 2025" it makes you wonder WTF is going on in this Country right now. And now we have people defending it as if it's normal.

It's also entirely possible that we will be visited by dog aliens coming to rescue the canines that have been enslaved by humans. Still unlikely though.  :)

This entire conversation is wrapped around US Citizens being detained and held by ICE  :headscratch:

If they've been previously deported it's a felony.
I don't care what happens to them, as long as they get deported. I couldn't care less where.
FAFO.

Send 'em to Seattle.

38 out of 150k+..... I'm ok with that.

How many accidentally got detained and/or deported when it was Obama and then Biden doin it? They deported WAY more than Trump has.

This number was in one city alone in a 6 month (or under) period, and that was half as many as were detained in the entire country over a 5-year period.

Are you guys sure you would want them sent to Seattle? They would get treated far too good for your standards?

How many of the "citizens" had legitimate ID?
We don't know and the media will NEVER tell us.

My wife is responsible for payroll and hiring for half a dozen dairies in 3 states with a couple of thousand employees
total. There is not a day that goes by when she doesn't have to deal with fake SS numbers, fake green cards, fake driver licenses, fake work permits and fake residency permits.

Maybe all 35 citizens really were citizens, but I'd bet many were not. We'll never know because the media is only reporting one extremely biased version of what is actually happening.

Yea, it's more difficult to get accurate data than I thought it would be, especially from over a decade ago.
