Seriously though, I really don't think this rebrand is quite as nefarious as the right social media is making it out to be. Cracker Barrel was in a tough spot like many iconic brands are starting to realize. As boomers die off, so is their loyal customer base. They wanted to rebrand to try to attract new customers. They chose poorly because it just alienated their existing base. Many other brands are going to be faced with this dilemma. Harley is one that comes to mind. shrinking sales and feigning interest. Eventually Harley is going to try something stupid to try to attract new customers and it too will be deemed as "go woke, go broke".

One time at KFC I got a meal and some guy complained about the temperature of his chicken. He had his order for about 20 minutes while he tried to flirt with a female employee. Management checked temperature and it was fine. He said it wasn't about the money and pulled out a huge wad of money and paid for my meal. I said " Hell, if I knew you were going to do that I'd gotten the big bucket of chicken " 😂

...if I were a CEO of a company I would make it a company mission to stay as apolitical as you can. Focus on providing the products and/or service that generates revenue and leave all the other BS out of it....

For the life of me I cannot figure out why SO many companies INSIST on alienating roughly half of their customer base/potential customer base. It's almost as if there is a "Stupid Shit to do in Business 501" class in MBA school. Clearly a ton of people are taking that class.

I don't give two shits about Cracker Barrel but I will say their food is pretty good IMHO.  I usually point out the diabetic folks coming outta there when the wife and I pass by.
When I was racing dirt bikes back in the day, that place was my savior.  I probably packed in 4000 calories to get back to even after a race.  There was always one on the interstate.
