I always thought, alphabetical would be a good way to go for this list....

At this point it really seems like they have hired a team of JR software engineers to do everything...

It has been that way forever. We complained about it back in the X days. Somebody from CNC piped in with some skeezy 
excuse. I'm not a software developer and I KNOW sorting a list ain't that hard. 

Yes, DO better. This is a quality of life issue. Want to leave Mastercam files at the top of the list, please... by all means. 

EVERYTHING ELSE... alphabetical order either by file extentsion or file type. Either one would be INFINTELY better than than the Kamala Harris speech sort method they got going on now.

Don't bring common sense into this!

They'll do what they always do, re-design the entire fucking thing to make it pretty so it looks better than Fusion and it won't work. Then they'll roll out a workaround for it, then they'll eventually fix it 4 versions later, if we're lucky.

If it makes anybody feel better, I checked out the list sorting in TopSolid's translators yesterday and it's got the same sort of thing going on, too.

I forgot to check Solidworks but suspect they're all in the same boat here!

Not my biggest problem in life, but I understand the annoyance folks feel, too.
