I changed my mind... regulators should put that "background check" company out of business. I can see if he had good fake documentation... I'd let that slide with just revocation of their license and a way to get it back. The Doctorate... that means they never even picked up the phone and called the University. I find that completely unacceptable.

Dunno how it is down there in Burgerland, but we have a huge issue with fake university credentials up here, and so called 'degree mills' that pump out bach degrees like no tomorrow.

And then there are the Chinese diploma printing services... Without naming names, we had an 'individual' take photos of my wife's degree - since the person in question attended the same University and dropped out - and sent those pictures to a Chinese website that prints fake degrees. Strangely enough, they have now graduated on the same day, despite the university not having that person on record attending that year. We tried to get someone to do something, but the academic fraud dept said they can't do anything about it at the moment, and that they know it's an issue. Even with full names and addresses, timelines, etc this person is working to this day on false creds.

Hopefully this case with a fake PHD can get some sort of movement on the issue in general. Faking your way to the top for a decade plus takes serious sack though, gotta hand it to this dude, he's one hell of a con man. And a huge POS for weaseling his way into caring for minors, I'd be pissed if he taught my kid.
