Don't be hosed.

Quote from: neurosis on September 30, 2025, 09:41 AMI saw another quote from the speech Hegseth gave.

"It's completely unacceptable to see fat generals and admirals in the halls of the Pentagon leading commands around the country, in the world, it's a bad look," Hegseth said."

It sounds like he's telling the Generals that our military is an embarrassment and to get their shit together?
They ARE an embarrassment.

EVERY SINGLE one of those O-4's and flag officers that cannot pass the PT test their subordinates must past should face whatever consequences their subordinates must face.

A future look at the new and improved military?

I'll go back to being a conservative, when conservatives go back to being conservative.

How could everything Hegseth said not be supported by both sides of the isle?  Fighters in shape - get on board, or get out.

Maybe if he had purple hair, others would agree  ???

You know, what NOT to do is an important example to see sometimes.

I wonder what our troops and officers think of a Fox news talking head and fat ass president bone spurs lecturing them on what it takes to be a good soldier.

I think there are 3 people in this thread who have any experience in the military so that says a lot.

I don't have any experience in the military, (I wish sometimes that I would have joined when I was younger) But I have to say that a lot of the young people that I know that are in the military right now, are all in on Pete Hegseth and DT. I'm no expert but when people join the military based on an idea of "be all you can be" they are enlisting at least partially because they want pushed to be better than they are.

I guess it could also be true that by the time they are career military, they have a different view and just putting in their time till they can retire.
