I saw another quote from the speech Hegseth gave.

"It's completely unacceptable to see fat generals and admirals in the halls of the Pentagon leading commands around the country, in the world, it's a bad look," Hegseth said."

It sounds like he's telling the Generals that our military is an embarrassment and to get their shit together?

It's summation of Hegseth's speech this morning.
NPR's Pentagon correspondent was so condescending this morning I'm surprised he didn't drown in his own bile... and that was before the speech.

The money quote

"We became the woke department. But not anymore," Hegseth said. "No more identity months, DEI offices, dudes in dresses, no more climate change worship. No more division, distraction or gender delusions. No more debris. We are done with that."
