2015 Lexus Rx350. Only 171K. Barely broke in. Just replaced the water pump this summer. Only thing I've ever had to fix on it.

Our old one, a 2007, is still on the road with 300K. Driven by the crazy old man who lives across the road, AKA, Dad.

Just a few minor scratches and scrapes that are typical to a car of this age and mileage. I'm sure they'll buff right out...

Fuckin deer. :realmad:

I'd be interested but my 2008 ES350 only has 210K on it.

Now that I don't commute to work every day it might last me a long time yet.

I got a deer on the way to work in my 1989 Toyota truck at 75 MPH many years ago. It rocked my world and not in a good way.

Wife got this one, basically in town, on the way to get pizza last Saturday night.

Just heard from the body shop and insurance. It's totaled, which I suspected.

I didn't expect the estimate from the body shop, almost $12K.

I was pleasantly surprised the insurance is giving us about $14K for it. We considered dropping the full coverage this summer, thinking it's 10 years old, almost 200K miles, and paid for. But seeing what similar ones were listed for sale for and that it only added $25/month to our policy, we kept it. And for the bonus, no deductible. :cheer:

Now for something I hate more than going to dentist, buying a new car.

That does make me sad to lose a fallen soldier (we're a Toyota Only fam).

'tis but a scratch

A new radiator and some duct tape and she'll be good to go for another 100,000 miles  ;D

I hear that Flex Seal stuff is pretty good. Glad no one was badly hurt.

Spent the last month looking for a new RX. Wife even considered other brands, Grand Cherokee, Honda Passport, Kia Telluride, etc. Didn't like any of them.

Our local Lexus dealer said that people don't love the newer RXs. Both the styling and the new turbo 4 cylinder motors. Said people just aren't trading them in as much.

Ended up driving down to Indy on Saturday, about 2-1/2 hours away. We'd found 6 candidates down there, 4 at the Lexus dealer, 1 at the Bentley dealer, and 1 at a Mitsubishi dealer. She liked the color combo of the one at the Mitsubishi dealer best, atomic silver w/graphite wheels, so that's what she got.

2022 with only 25K miles. Hopefully she avoids the deers and this one lasts as long, and holds up as well as our '07 RX...

I like Lexus a lot but I don't care for the looks of the grill on the newer models.
