The shooters were both immigrants from the Middle East, a father and son
The son was an Australian citizen. Both were members of Isis.
The local cops froze and did nothing for 10 minutes while the shooting continued.
After 10 minutes of mayhem another Middle Eastern guy tackled one of the shooters.
He got shot three times for his trouble, but that spurred the local cops into action.
Australia has very strict gun laws and the shooters were using straight pull Berretta
bolt action rifles.

extremists hate is not based on their ability to get guns. If you could magically make all guns disappear today terrorists would still wake up tomorrow hating the same people they hate today. They would just find other ways to kill, rape, and torture. They would make more bombs, drive cars through more crowds, etc.
