I love watching stuff like this, though it often leaves me thinking that I was born about 50 years too late!

I think of stuff like this (manufacturing in general, engineering/prototyping/toolmaking in particular) as what I like to call the "real economy" (adding value to things in order to better our world) as opposed to the "bullshit economy" (making money with money, for no other reason than to make well...."money").

Here's another goody - Colchester lathes.
They had a badge on the tailstock casting - the globe, with the slogan "The world turns on Colchester lathes"
Clausing in the US i believe - unsure about Canada?

My cousin who works in an R&D lab for Nasa has two Monarch EEs.  They sent them back to Monarch about 3 years ago to be completely rebuild - he said it was somewhere around 100k

I noticed on one of the Monarch old videos on YT, one of the commenters from 7 months ago said he still works there.

I suspect that the price was that high because it was for NASA lol.
