Of course Fox is blathering on and on about what a disgrace this is.  But if it's a wedding cake shop refusing to bake a cake for some alphabet salad couple, they're behind it 100%

My question is this:  Why shouldn't a business be able to decide it does not want to sell it's services to government employees?  They're not a protected class.  And it could certainly be postulated that their presence is or brings an unseemly element.

Now, you could take that to mean thugs in uniforms, and I'd agree.  But from a business standpoint, trying to attract and serve other customers as well, maybe they just don't want the publicity.  Maybe they're pro-ICE, but don't want to become the epicenter of protests against ICE.

" Hilton is a preferred provider for U.S. government employees, offering special Per Diem Rates for official travel and Military Family Rates for leisure, requiring valid government/military ID for discounts, and participates in GSA programs for federal travel. They have a long history of serving government and military personnel, providing discounted rates and specific search tools for government locations. "

If you had a brain, you'd realize that it's a part of a chain and not some mom n pop hotel.

And to further clarify, "Hilton" is a franchise. Each location is independently owned and operated and subject to the rules and regulations of the Hilton brand. Violate those and it's cause for losing the franchise.

IHG is my preferred hotel chain as they suite my needs most frequently, have a very good rewards program, and offer several discounts to frequent travelers.

I personally would not go after "Hilton", I would go after the LLC/S-Corp/C-Corp/Proprietor that owns/operates that location. Chances are that ownership group owns a number of hotel properties, maybe even multiple brands (i.e. IHG, Marriott, Wyndam, etc...).

I started with IHG, I thought the benefits were crap compared to Hilton.  I'm currently a diamond member with Hilton thanks to the .gov travel.
Hilton does have some badass places in other countries as well

I like to stay as close to my customer's shop as possible. That usually gets me Diamond Elite with IHG, Silver Elite with Marriott and Hilton. Nothing special with Hyatt and Wyndam.

I generally only stay in a Hyatt for IMTS. 1 week every couple of years is nothing.
