What is all this talk about a little orange wiener? I thought it was more like a mushroom.

Anyone on this board can only speculate why he decided to end his employment.  Paraphrasing, but in 2024 Joe did say publicly that Iran had a target on Trumps back.
So I don't understand his statement "Iran shows no imminent threat to America"

I'm sure the guy is a great dude, he's obliged to have any opinion he wants about bombing Iran.  If he'd had enough, maybe its time to go.  I'll never talk shit about him, he served his country well.

I just hope he didn't have some intel eluding to any boots on the ground combat and that's why he popped smoke  :-X

Maybe he just wants to be the net head anchor on CNN  ;D

Joe Kent's wife was serving as an intelligence technician in Syria when she was killed by a suicide bomber. I think that had something to do with it.

Are you trying to be funny, or are you just tragically misinformed?  I'm surprised this idiot wasn't arrested at J6, but apparently he was too much of a pussy to actually be there, only to flipflop his "opinion" to curry favor with the dumbest of the dumb.

QuoteInitial Condemnation: On the day of the attack, Kent tweeted that the violence was "dangerous and foolish" and that it "undermined" efforts to object to the 2020 election results, notes the Seattle Times.
QuoteFollowing the event, Kent shifted his position to downplay the attack, describing the incident as an "intelligence operation" or an event where federal agents instigated the violence
QuoteStance on Jan. 6: Kent has promoted theories that the violence on January 6 was instigated by federal agents or "provocateurs" rather than supporters of Donald Trump. He has also stated that Trump had "no control" over the mob.

Bro, your brain may be broken from too much media.
This MF served a shit-ton of deployments receiving multiple service metals.  His wife is probably responsible for the death of 500+ shit bags from the intel she gathered with JSOC.
These people protect your rights (even your wild fucking views) from enemies foreign and domestic.
I'll reserve any judgement on his "leaks".  The FBI Investigates damn near everyone, I need to see some evidence first.
That's what's wrong with too many people, they see either a D or a R next to the name - RAGE! RAGE! THEIR ON THE OTHER SIDE.
We'll know more about his position soon most likely, or not 🤷🏻
I'd love to see you call him a pussy to his face keyboard warrior.

His was wife was killed during a bullshit op that  literally meant nothing that was orchestrated at the behest of Barry Hussein. FTP :coffee:

When people "resign in protest" they take a risk. I look at what Col. David Hackworth's resignation "accomplished". He left a position where he absolutely had control as a leader of men, and could have made the lives of those under his charge better. I get it though Vietnam was a quagmire and was never going to be fought correctly. That said, he most certainly would have made General and then had an opportunity to have more influence over policy. Instead he opted for a public resignation. I'm not sure it was not nearly as effective as he thought it would be. He did write a fantastic book though.

I get the Colonel's perspective though, that's A LOT of shit sandwiches you have to eat along the way to get to that position. Most people just get tired of the shit. Here's the thing; I've heard it said that Politicians listen to Generals, and Generals listen to Generals. I think he allowed that understanding to leave his consciousness.

With Kent's departure however, there is more than compelling evidence that indicatws he's been a chronic leaker and in fact was being investigated by the FBI prior to his even hinting of resignation.

Let's not kid ourselves though, our nation has been at war nearly his entire career if not his entire career, and that war unnecessarily claimed the life of the love of his life and the mother of his children. That tragedy is going to affect people in different ways and nobody with a conscience is going to say that would not affect is world view. He's not a robot. It entirely likely he's seeing this current conflict with Iran through the eyes of "We're getting into something that we won't easily be able to escape without unnecessary loss of life."

I wish him well, I've heard his story in his own voice and the military life has definitely taken it's toll on him. For his sake, and the sake of his children, I hope the evidence of leaking turns out to be a misunderstanding or a misinterpretation of the facts. Time will tell.
