Vericut 9.7

Anybody running Vericut 9.7?
I installed it this week for a 5X stainless steel impeller I'm working on.
It's completely useless. It cashes randomly for no apparent reason. It doesn't freeze or throw errors.
It just vanishes, poof and it's gone like it was never there.
I'm running a liquid cooled i9 with 64g of ram, a Quadro RTX A4500 video card and a brand new OS install.

The NC file is 10mg of 5x and 3d kellering.
I rolled back it V9.6.2 and it's useable. It still crashed on me the same way, but only after an hour of heavy use and autodiff sessions.

using 9.6.2 glad I am not the only one to have had crashes in this version but they seem few so not complaining.
Vericut is usually rock solid hope it all gets sorted out.

I've heard back from CGtech
this was their reply

Try the following:

 

Right-click on the desktop, or search for, and select NVIDIA Control Panel.
Under 3D Settings, select Manage 3D settings.
With the Global Settings tab selected, find and set Preferred graphics processor to Merge Healthcare.
Select the Program Settings tab, then select Add. This will open a panel/window to search for a program. Assuming the default installation path, browse to C:\Program Files\CGTech\Vericut 9.7\windows64\jre\bin and select javaw.exe, then press Open. Repeat the process and select java.exe.
Press Apply under the Program Settings.
Launch VERICUT 9.7.0.1 and test.

I got the notification to download it but have been too busy...

Just got back on maintenance but have not have a chance to install 9.7. Hopefully this is an easy fix and my money hasn't been wasted.

Interesting... I've just had a customer who has encountered random crashes in 9.7.0.1. These happen when they open the Tool Manager, and then make any kind of change. It happens randomly, on only some instances.

I suggested the usual update of graphics driver (which has worked for me in the past), and to enable logging.

I have encountered quite a few lock ups, both with 9.7 and 9.7.0.1, but very few crashes.

I've logged it with CGTech.

We are still running 9.5, but our salesman just stopped in so I asked about 9.7. He recommended waiting an update or two before upgrading.

Talking to my customer again this morning. He's had at least four times where Vericut has crashed while in the same project. All these occurred whilst modifying something in the Tool Manager.
