It's refreshing to see that Delta Force is still taking names and kicking ass! :D

We both lived in foreign lands as children, Vaccines and frequent booster shots
were a way of life.
There were no Americans there who refused vaccines because without an up to date shot book
you didn't get off the plane.
An unvaccinated American in Sumatra in the mid 1950's would
be dead in months.

Another factor.. anyone who's been in military service has had dozens of vaccines
Anyone who's been in the service and gone overseas has had even more.

The final factor .. my wife's doctor did emergency room duty at a local hospital
during the pandemic.
We are both over 65 and she has asthma.
He told us in no uncertain terms to get the vaccine.
Dying of CV-19 is a slow horrible death.
You lie alone in an isolation ward with no visitors allowed spending  7 to 10 days
slowly suffocating to death.... one desperate breath at a time.

It is a huge tragedy that this has been so politized... and it makes me angry beyond words.
In Sept and October of last year Dems stood on the House and Senate floor
sanctimoniously stating they would never take the "Trump Vaccine" and calling him a liar
when he said vaccines would be available by year's end.

In February they were taking credit for it's release
Today they are threatening to jail "enemies of the state" who will not get the vaccine.
and yes... whether they will say it or not... it is still the Trump Vaccine

you have to understand gcode, the not-a-vax is deadly for some especially the youth, while youth are not in much danger from the 'vid,
besides, where i lived most people have had the virus

Get the damn vaccine. It may save your life.

Or not and increase your odds substantially that you end up on a ventilator if or when you get Covid.

Yes they do. Mild symptoms. No reports I know of as to what strain. From the beginning they said vaccine was not 100%.  The people who have died or been hospitalized after getting Covid that were vaccinated is practically no nil from what I read. The unvaccinated however are faring much much worse.

We vaccinate our pets.  Why?  Because we love them and want them to be with us as long as possible

Get the shot. Don't regret while they put you on a ventilator that you didn't.

....

... I just my annual checkup a few weeks ago. My doc said he's only recommending it for people with health issues that make COVID more lethal. I have no such conditions. He has no such conditions and as a result he isn't taking the jab.  MY wife does have asthma, her doctor that she saw in the spring did not reccommend it for her.

If it brings  you peace, go right ahead. As with all health related matters, they are deeply personal decisions and should remain as such. Decisions that should be between doctors and their patients... not the fucking 24 hour news cycle making shit up calling it "science". Last I checked, "science" holds up to and welcomes scrutiny. It doesn't need protection from FarceBook, Twatter, Goobull, and whatever instrument the tyrants chose to weaponize against us.

My doc also said I am not high-risk, and he personally, AS A DOCTOR, has decided he is not getting the vax either.
He is concerned about the completely unknown long-term potential pitfalls of the mRNA technology that will ONLY be known after time elapses and further study can be done.

Yep...my body, my choice, and nobody's business other than my doctor and myself.
Seems we have heard that mantra before from the left, so now we can know if they REALLY believe that, or if they are all just full of shit.  :harhar:

You're young and presumably healthy. Statistically speaking you're probably fine.  If I was under 30, unless I had some kind of medical issue and it was recommended by my doctor, I wouldn't even consider getting it.

I am kinda surprised to hear that doctors are recommending that people in their 50's or over not get it.  That's between the individual and their doctor.

True story. We have a family move into our vacation rental in March. A couple of Doctors with their kids, dogs and cats moved here from Florida to take new jobs up here in VT. I happen to be up there last week doing maintenance and strike up a conversation with Tracy who tells me that a friend of hers in Fla got Covid and was in the hospital on a ventilator. The woman is 36, fit (runs marathons fit) no vaccine. Needless to say Tracy said that her family had cancelled their plans to vacation back in Florida because of what is happening down there. You can make your choices but sometimes they come back and bite you in the ass.
