Most cases per total pop, per 1m pop, in ICU?

It seems hard to think it is per total population as Texas and Florida are rising fast in cases and have huge populations compared to Kentucky.

I really don't know Doug.

Did your uncle monitor his ketone levels and or bloodwork during his time doing Keto?
I mean, we don't want to lump people that blindly go a certain route (like vegans lacking B12, protein, zinc, D3, ad finitem) as opposed to people that intelligently modify their food intake.
You've got to have problems breathing way up on that high horse.

I honestly don't know if my uncle was actively monitoring his ketone levels and bloodwork. That is my biggest problem with keto. If it is not done accurately it can be very dangerous. I have even seen some of the more honest keto proponents say you need to cycle off of keto periodically because you can't be on it indefinitely.

I won't argue about people going vegan and ending up nutrient deficient. It happens a lot. That is why I constantly use the phrase whole foods plant based. Vegans can eat a lot of junk food and still be vegan. However aside from needing to supplement B-12, if you are eating a well rounded whole foods plant based diet you don't need to monitor ketones or regular bloodwork to avoid possible dangerous side effects. With keto you do.

My blood is monitored ever 3 months due to my thyroid.
Thanks Simi Valley.
My glucose has been monitored as well, due to my thyroid and Indian genes. It's a no brainer to let my doc know what I'm doing diet wise. Especially when it's reccomennded I follow a regimen. I'm fine with my keto choice as is my doc.

said if you haven't been vaccinated and get the covid they turn you away because the hospital is full of the people that "did their part" .
seems "break through cases" are getting more prevalent.

Are they turning away people who have the flu and have not gotten a flu shot? How about fat people? How about smokers, alcoholics and drug addicts?  Wonder how long before someone pulls a John Q.
If it was one of my close family members and they died because they refused to treat them I would hope they have their affairs in order. So much for the Hippocratic oath I guess.
The part that is getting me is we have had over a year and a half to adjust to this. All the "experts" keep talking about the next surge. Well why aren't we better prepared? I remember hospital ships being in NYC and LA harbors. Convention centers being taken over and set up as overflow. Thousands of ventilators being produced and shipped. Where are they all now?

some interesting Minnesota numbers in this article

"only 38 of its 150 patients hospitalized with COVID-19 on Sunday were vaccinated — a rate of 25% — and that only eight of 32 COVID-19 patients in intensive care were vaccinated."

"Among the COVID-19 patients in the last 30 days, those who were fully vaccinated made up 11.5% of intensive care admissions and 6.1% of cases requiring ventilators"

Vince Neil's daughter died a horrible death at a young age presumably due to the same reasons you have thyroid issues.

I was looking for this "detailed breakdown" Maybe my GoogleFu sucks. I would have figured there would have been a link in the article to it. Guess not.

Virtually everybody I still know that lived in our neighborhood in the sixties and 70's have had cancer, or have thyroid disease.

MN has had higher vaccine compliance than most states and earlier as well. Just as Israel, we are seeing a big uptick in breakthrough cases. Big pharma is now admitting that the effectiveness of the vaccines wears off and booster shots may be needed. My concern is it a diminishing return? The shots seem to lose a lot of effectiveness after 4-6 months. Will the booster shot start to wane sooner? Will shots 5 and 6 need to be monthly, weekly? When will the shots be worthless and what increased risks will come from over-vaccinating? Also, with deteriorating effectiveness is it going to mean that the virus is going to evolve into a more vaccine resistant mutation from having the lessened task of overcoming weaker vaccine antibodies? The rush to force vaccination on everyone and pushing booster shots could make things worse than letting the 99% that will survive covid without dying get natural immunity from possible infection.

Ok ,Reality check. At lunch was gonna do my usual 2 mile cruise home from work. My front tire felt low so I turned back to work and parked at the compressor. filled her up and started pulling out and apparently to much air front fender was rubbing so very slowly I started turning back in to the shop to let some air out. Not even 1 mile an hour. front wheel seized and I slid on gravel.
as the bike went down I was on the ground and my left leg was still under it. from my toes to my heel there was a 90 degree angle.
I pushed the bike off my foot and yanked off my shoe. Yep!! Hospital Visit.

Now here is my point. (Finally)

Emergency room empty. walked right in security says you got Guns? Nope he pushed me in . gave my info ,directly to trauma.
1st nurse asks "What's the prob?" broken foot..."Are You Vaxxed"...No ."would you like to be vaxxed?" No. Next nurse "What's the Prob?"...Broken foot. yep. Student nurse."are you vaxxed/" No.. Would you like to vaxx?" No..

I had a total of 4 nurses, One Doctor and two specialists.... "What's the problem?"

My Left foot is broken. "Ahem"

At home with a cast.

Yes this was Deaconess that is "Overloaded"

I repeat. 4 nurses, one Doctor, two specialists...and I finally got the shot. Morphine for the pain.

And when I left there was only one person in the Overloaded ER. Grandma and her grandchild. Grandma was having a procedure.

And I was singing Roger Miller..... Trailers for sale or Rent ,Rooms to let 50 Cents. No Phone, No Pool,No pets.
