looking like Delta has peaked here in Missouri.  2700 new cases on 8/9/21 and steady decline since 800 new cases 8/15.  it was roughly about a 6 week since the delta virus started to take hold here.

Here in MN we have gone from about 100 positive tests per day in June to the past week averaging 1000 per day. However, we have pretty good vaccine rates. 67% of 16 and older have completed vaccines and 90% of 65 and older. We have about 10% of the total population having had Covid, plus estimates of 2+ times that of undetected/asymptomatic put us close to the magical herd immunity. I am curious to see if the that growing daily positives keeps going or drops off quickly. If it does keep growing I hope they are honest about the numbers of people that test positive after being vaccinated.

The other thing I want to know is how are they determining the new infections are the delta variant. Standard PCR tests can't say which variant it is, that requires genetic sequencing. They can't be doing that to all samples. How many are they sequencing and what formula are they using to determine rate of delta versus other.

My confidence level is near zero on that.

Honesty is irrelevant, compliance is the goal.

They can't possibly know. It's all rhetoric. Comply or get cancelled. Notice how when celebs talk about not associating with unvaccinated people it gets major coverage?
There's even colleges that will cancel internet for unvaccinated students and fine them $2500 per semester, and have daily testing. A college in Conn I believe is doing this as we speak.

And they won't come forward with the numbers until they are forced to. Even then the numbers will be doctored to cover everyone's asses.

that college should be the good socialist example by also offering free tuition for the vaccinated,
