I remember when I was really young in Texas, having a swamp cooler.  

I didn't get AC until I was 30 but I live in Washington State now so it doesn't really count.

probably going to pass legislation to ban AC in cars , and refrigeration all together , ...
unless you're one of the elite ,,, i.e. congressman senator billionaire type that's above the law  
kinda like the mandatory vaccination for all state workers , unless your a lawmaker, governor level then not mandatory to keep your job type deal

Swamp cooler, now that's a blast from the past. I have noticed adds recently for something that is essentially a swamp cooler.

Swamp coolers are bad ass if you know how to use it. I had one in a little place I rented in North Hollywood.

Crack The windows set it on Low and Let it go. 10 to 15 degrees cooler. and cheap.

Cali should require them.

In the mid-Seventies one of my friends and I hitchhiked to Ridgecrest (SP) to visit his dad and step mom. They had a whole house swamp cooler and it worked very well. In Michigan though all they did was add humidity to the already high humidity.

There's nothing quite like having mold and mildew growing everywhere.

We had one when I was a kid. It didn't do much against summer in Kansas except humidity the air.

Yea but the air in Cali is soo dry it worked Great.

No Mold or Mildew.

It would suck in Illinois or Indiana,Too high Humidity.
