I thought you were talkin' about me!  :harhar:

Ok, I do drink a bit...

Speaking of which, our local brewpub just ran another batch of their 'Caramel Apple Brown Ale' for the Fall season.
Meh wifey and I had dinner there on Friday night and we enjoyed that immensely.

Think of the flavor of biting into a freshly made caramel apple when you were a kid around Halloween.
These guys captured that exact flavor in a smooth brown ale that you just have to taste to believe.
Some of these small craft breweries are doing amazing things, and this is definitely one of them.

I don't happen to like beer, but based on your description I'd give that one a try.

It really did hit me with the childhood memory of eating a caramel apple, which I think is just amazing.  :w00t:

Meh wifey isn't really a beer drinker either, but she does enjoy some of the lighter fruit flavored craft brews.
She doesn't like the really 'hoppy' ones (like most IPA's), which many people find to be too bitter for their taste.

But she does like the lighter, less hoppy craft brews that usually incorporate many different fruit flavors like the aforementioned Caramel Apple, Apple Cinnamon, Strawberry, Orange, Cherry, and Blueberry, just to name a few of the more popular ones.

So even if you aren't necessarily a beer drinker, and you decide to try a craft brew place, try something orange, apple, or any other fruit flavor on the beer menu that you think you might like.
Most brew pubs I know also have EXCELLENT food choices as well, and many of them are very good at matching certain beers with certain food items on the menu.

Even if you are a complete n00b to the craft beer scene, talk to your server and ask for a recommendation.
Most of them I have met are very knowledgeable, and chances are they can help you find something you like.

ENJOY!!

I don't know if you have been to Vermont but there are a TON of craft breweries  , vineyards  :wine: and even distilleries up here. There are so many places making and serving alcoholic beverages that it's amazing that anyone here can walk straight  . BTW there are a bunch of cider makers and I happen to enjoy cider. I will have to take your advise next time I am at a pub. Thanks. :turned:

Sounds like the Finger Lakes region in Upstate NY.
Winery tours at every exit.

I also like a good cider.
Distilleries aren't my thing at all, but I can enjoy a nice winery or cider mill tour.

I have been known to be a slight ball buster. Actually one on the young guys here cried to the boss saying I was teasing too much. Pussy. I tell people to ignore my first response because usually it will be steeped in sarcasm.

HAHAHAHA!!!
It's all good, bro.
I don't take offense to a little bit of ball busting, and anyone who does should DEFINITELY not be on an interwebz forum like this one!!

There is a little neighborhood pub just down the street. I can walk there and crawl home.

LOL
We used to have a little neighborhood pub in our town called the 'Wander Inn'.
Many of their regular customers were within walking distance, so the locals called it the 'Wander Inn and Stagger Out'.
