really shows the difference between us and them ,
anyone of us "accidently" kills some one with a gun, I'm pretty sure you would be in jail for quite some time , maybe for the rest of your life.

oh ya lets go Brandon!

45 Long Colt is a serious cartridge.
More powerful than the 45 ACP round.
The pistol was an antique Colt Single Action Army and will probably end up being destroyed.

Meh, this is just a workplace accident/incident. A true free market capitalist would say we should disband OSHA and any investigations and regulations for this type of incident. When enough movie workers get hurt or killed they won't be able to hire anybody and will go out of business. The free market works every time!

I was wrong. It was not an antique.
It was a modern Italian reproduction

True... sort of. It's a criminal incident because there was criminal negligence involved. Workplace issues cease to be workplace issues when criminality comes into the picture.

Quote from: YoDoug post_id=17809 time=1635443971 user_id=58A true free market capitalist would say we should disband OSHA...

We should. They are worthless and duplicitous.

Quote from: YoDoug post_id=17809 time=1635443971 user_id=58...any investigations and regulations for this type of incident.

This is 100% a criminal matter. Try to keep up.

For every movie worker killed, there's gonna be multitudes of people waiting in line for the opportunity to get in the business.

Too bad we'll never know if the free market truly works because government keeps getting in the way.

Please explain to me how it is criminal negligence. As far as I have seen, the DA investigating has not found enough negligence so far to bring charges. Until a full report is released that shows the full chain of custody of that gun, the person/s responsible at each point, and where the criminal negligence happened, it can't be determined. Your assertion that it is criminal is no different that BLM after every time a cop shoots someone. The facts need to come out in an official report from an investigator, not media leaks that are heavily swayed by their like or dislike of Baldwin.

Breach of duty. Look it up. Being a Producer (not to mention the final handler of THE firearm that ended a life) for the production makes him a primary responsible party. There are so many facts that are not in dispute at this point... the list would take too long to parse out for you.

The Democrat DA will tread lightly. They've got a film industry to protect.

Who pulled the trigger? You're welcome.

Every single firearms safety rule was broken. All of them. On purpose. He didn't accidentally pull the trigger. He didn't accidentally point it at the victim. He didn't accidentally mis-handle the firearm. Every single step in this tragedy was a gross violation of every single firearms safety protocol there is.

Here's the facts. Every safety protocol ever put in place on movie sets were violated. When you're the Producer, you're on the hook.

At the very least arrested on site, tossed into jail and released on bond pending court case or investigation.

I haven't done much research into this case, but were they filming a scene at the time this happened or was he horsing around?
IMO the person responsible for making sure the gun had blanks in it is the one that should be convicted. Again, that's my opinion based on not much research.
As much as I cannot stand Baldwin, I don't think it was his fault, even though he's a doosh and pointed it at someone and pulled the trigger. He was probably being an asshole on set and wanted to shoot off a blank round while berating the crew.
