If it wasn't intended to be funny, he shouldn't have said it. His job is to be funny.

If he's in a comedy club saying that it's one thing. But on a nationally televised tv show that's supposed to be entertainment, to say that is 1) arrogant for assuming his audience agrees with him 2) unfunny by mistaking a vulgar insult as humor; he again assumes his audience agrees with him; he took over for David Letterman, not John Stewart.

Thank you. He was under control by the FCC. He is not allowed to keep saying terrible things night after night according to FCC rules. It must be in the best interest of all people. He can move to cable if someone wants him but not Network television.

Remember this if, god forbid, President Newsome sics the FCC on every right wing talking head with a radio show.

The FCC doesn't control programming content in radio. Just the technical aspects.

I've never seen his show and I don't know what the ratings were but if he was drawing enough viewers to keep enough of an audience to show a profit I'd suggest he was doing his job.

Other things....I never watched Letterman and many of today's comedic geniuses use vulgar insults as humor.

I did enjoy the man show back in the day. I always figured Adam Carolla would have a better career than Kimell but that sure didn't happen!

Jeff

Continuously lying and spreading political hate is what he did and has been doing. Along with The View and MSNBC.
Kirk was killed because of the things the lefty media has said every single day for the last 10 years.
Whoever denies that is a part of the problem.
That's all this kid heard growing up.
And you guys wanna blame the FCC? lol.

The sheer number of people cheering for his death and saying that Kirk spread hatred proves that they've never once watched one of his debates. Ever.

This isn't a "both sides are at fault" issue. That's a lame excuse to get the right to take half of the blame.

I feel like we just had the bubble conversation yesterday?   :headscratch:
I'll go back to being a conservative, when conservatives go back to being conservative.

Seems like the goal here is pretty obvious:  state-controlled media with the intent to quash dissent.  Smells kinda dictator-y to me.

LOL

I'm just barely old enough to remember the Watergate stuff and Nixon's resignation, and I recall seeing a political cartoon in one of the papers at the time that riffed on the above, with Tricky Dick playing the part of the third monkey ("speak no evil"), saying "well, two out of three ain't bad."
