This seems like it good be a good thing, even knowing that Trump is trying to prop up their economy? Will Trump continue to do so if his buddy loses the next election?

"Argentina is renowned for its high-quality beef, which is considered some of the best in the world due to factors like the cattle's grass-fed diet, traditional ranching methods, and specific cooking techniques. Argentina has won international awards for its beef, and its meat is consistently of a high standard whether bought in a small market or a large restaurant.

Must be 5 years ago now but prolly more this was in a UN/WEF/Whatever paper regarding future world food suppliers for regions etc.
Also, Spain was to be procuring from Argentina too.
Same paper also referenced Ukraine as "Europe's garden of eden" where it was to be supplying 1/3rd of the EU's total food supply.
And it also went on to list the 3 mega-hubs for Europe's food distribution that were to be implemented.
None of this is new - it's all planned out. Crash the wealthy regions and level-up the poor regions until everyone "is the same".

About which? The skyrocketing price of beef, or Trumps conditional allegiance to Argentina?

I bought a half side of beef last year. I got about 200 pounds after processing. Paid $1400 for everything. $7.00 a pound. Last me and wife about 2 years.

The g/f and I have been kicking around doing that for a while now. It's a little inconvenient for us since we live in a Condo. I worry that if the power goes out, which it does quite a bit in our complex, we'll lose a lot of food. We're not allowed to run gas powered generators. I did find a couple of battery solutions, but they're crazy expensive.

There are companies that will sell you the beef and store it for you

What's the longest the power has been out? A good freezer should keep it for a few days I would imagine if you never opened the door.

You don't care about the price of beef, you made this thread just so you could complain about Trump.

It hasn't been off longer than 24 hours in the last 10 years.

We live in a densely wooded area, so trees are falling on power lines all the time.  I feel like we've been pretty lucky so far.

If that's what you think, then why bother responding?

Did you make any threads the last 4 years about the price of food skyrocketing blaming the Biden admin?
Or the fact that he was fucking over U.S. farmers?

Did I start any threads? I don't remember. I've complained about inflation under Biden responding in threads.

I ask if something that people are criticizing Trump for, might actually be a good idea, and you still find a reason to bitch about it.  I think you're becomming too jaded.

One of the things driving beef prices higher is a recent pest infecting Mexican beef, that has stopped all cattle and beef imports from the country, in an effort to prevent or slow the spread to american cattle. It's a fly that lays eggs in the cattle while they are alive, so that when you butcher the steer there are live worms in it. That's not the only factor but it is one of the big ones.
Human pride weighed you down so heavily that only divine humility could raise you up again. ~Augustine of Hippo

80/20 ground beef is on sale now for 8.00 a pound. Fucking crazy!

On the bright side, you can get soy beans for next to nothing because China's not buying soy beans from the U.S. now. It's not nearly as satisfying as a nice rib eye but protein is protein, right?

Talk about fucking over the farmers, who are reliable Trump voters. And fucking over the rest of us too!
