Likely a nuclear war from fighting for clean energy.

There are billions of barrels of oil off the coast of Sana Monica
There is so much oil it actually seeps out of the sea bed and pollutes the oceans
and it's been doing it for hundreds of thousands of years.
Someday, the energy crisis will get so bad they will start using that oil
but it won't happen in our lifetimes

Are you being a little conservative about that percentage? From the outside looking in I would have guessed 80%.

30 years ago we had long distance phone bills. Today we can talk to anyone in the world for 'free'.
thirty years from now, coffee shops will be offering free electricity to charge your electric car, like they offer free wifi today.
This will be the solar power revolution.
get on board or be a Luddite. your choice.

current 3 blade windmill designs are a boondoggle of windmill proportions. Their economics only work with subsidies.

Nuclear power plants that create radioactive waste needing to be stored for 20,000 years is about the worst idea mankind has EVER came up with.

That's OLD nuclear technology. Latest developments in nuclear technology bring the waste down to nearly inert.

We could take the waste from current spent fuel waiting for storage and covert it to pellet type reactors...

So there...

Nuclear has such a stigma (earned in the past I'll give you) that it can't get a fair look.

Just trying to be kind... fact of the matter, if someone in California lives within 15-20 miles of the coast, there's a better than 80% chance they are completely clueless idiots. Not because I disagree with them politically, but because they think they can tax and spend "evil rich guys" indefinitely with absolutely no economic consequences. The taxation here is beyond ludicrous. Here's the kicker, YOU ALL will be paying for our bailout too. All because you/your states let Nazi Pelosi and Kameltoe Harris rise to power.

France is near completely nuclear powered, right? They never make the news, which is a good thing.
Yes I've heard talk of much better safer newer generation nuclear power design. I'm not totally against stuff that is verifiable progressed.
It's just that as well as nuclear stations are regulated, stuff run by man has issues.
San Onofre just recently had a radiation leak thanks to piss poor pipe design thanks to Mitsubishi heavy industries. Shut down after billions in retrofits.
Fukashima; hey let's go nuclear on the shore of a tsunami zone and be sure to have the backup generators at sealevel instead of up the hill where ancient flood markers told us.
Chernobyl..hey lets turn off all the safety and run an experiment, real quick.

Correct about France. Nuclear is one of the few things they do well.

San Onofre... the back story on that was the state was willing to do ANYTHING to shut it down. Include spend BILLIONS in "retrofits". Edison was more than happy to comply because nuke technicians, contractors, welders, workers etc... were some of Edison's highest paid employees.

WHo could predict that massive of a quake? C'mon man. I'll give you the generators though.

Chernobyl.... Russians. Commie Russians. The only thing the Russians get right are gangsters, vodka, and earth orbit space travel.
