Back in the Off Topic eMC days, Del was a bleeding heart liberal.

He slowly came around, but I think Trump has been a bridge too far for him.

I always saw Del as more of a moderate. Even now, he hardly seems like an ideologue politically, I just think that the trans stuff, the pronouns, the cancel culture, became too much for him. I don't know if that's "coming around". He's still a "medicare for all" guy. I will say this - he seemed like a much happier and easy going person when he claimed to be a liberal.   Maybe that has something to do with todays rage-baiting news cycles. 

I remember a couple of years back, him saying that he needed to hang out with more like-minded people in reference to this forum. That surprised me since 90% of the people who were posting here were "like-minded people". There were 3 vs 30 voices in here who didn't tow that conservative line. If you can't handle that ratio you're going to have to start hiding in a closet.

When I go to my favorite online echo chamber, the last thing I want is to be exposed to opinions that differ from mine. Even more disturbing is when I anm presented with facts that challenge my preconceived and misinformed notions that I hold dear.

Fortunately, many of these sites have an ignore list, which allows me to continue my day without the inconvenience of critical thinking or original thought.

Those on the right, especially in this forum, complaining that they are being persecuted for their opinions is laughable at best. Heck, I even remember one fleeMC contributor (who may or may not be a mod) suggesting they would ban others who had different points of view.

He will hopefully be more content surrounding himself with a bubble of like minded people provided by the Facebook algorithms.
