Can you partisan guys on here not see that you both (left and right) do the same thing?

You say terrible things about each other and then get all sanctimonious like you had no part in it.

I can see why someone would get tired of it and say screw it and leave.

If I had any friends in real life I would do the same.

Quote from: Smit on November 04, 2025, 07:25 AMIt was sad to watch Del drive himself crazy with rage bait and Repug propaganda. And he couldn't handle anybody speaking critically about his orange god.

Back when he called himself a lefty, nearly the entire emc off-topic forum would routinely shit all over Democrats and Democrat policy, and I don't recall him being upset about that once. He always had a funny quip or light-hearted sarcastic remark. I wonder why the criticism of the right gets to him so much.

I miss lefty Del.

I'll go back to being a conservative, when conservatives go back to being conservative.

Maybe that's what it was.  :headscratch:

Too much time stuck with the wife.  :D

I think it gave him more time to focus on politics. He would talk about watching every news conference, interview, or speech. At least, it seemed that way. I know my wife looks for every little thing she can find to get outraged at Trump.
Del seemed to do the same thing with the left. If you steep yourself in that stuff day in and day out it's bound to make you bitter.
My wife knows not to start up about Trump with me. I try to avoid politics with anyone.

This forum has been the only place I talk about politics, and it's mostly because I enjoy the banter when people are being civil. I don't even talk politics with my girlfriend. My Facebook page looks a lot like the music forum.

You're probably right, and that's too bad. Hopefully he'll get bored and come back and say hi at some point. He likes more people than he dislikes here.  :D

Too dim to realise that 81 mill *never really* voted for Creepy Slow Buyed-In....

The simple fact is, there is no common ground.
None of this bickering back and forth changes a thing.
Even after something as awful as 911, the unity and common purpose didn't last a week.
All any of us are doing is shouting at clouds

It's the system, that is designed to keep everyone squabbling.
Red V Blue, V Red, V Blue, for the 2-party distraction.
"Vote the bastards out because next time, it will all be different"
No it won't.

Because while everyone is distracted, the puppet masters can progress to where they want to, and their loyal minions can rake $$$$ and a pension without anyone being upset....

Yes, wild-eyed conspiracy theory syndrome is also a way of life.

Fortunately it's not as common as Republican persecution syndrome.

Or maybe it is... they're really rather intertwined.

When someone calles you a repug for 20+ years it tends to make you think
they don't like you and hate everything you believe in and stand for  ::)
