All a set-up job....
That was pretty messed up. The whole debacle ended up costing him his life in the end. Kinda like what we do; we backed the Kurds, then backed away and let them get slaughtered, we backed the mujahadeen in Afghanistan, then abandoned them. I swear I hate my government and the shadow government.

It's like one big psyop.

Yeah, Dick Cheney was quoted in the 70's IIRC when questioned about Military Service;

"I had other priorities in the sixties than military service."

20+ years ago I was having a conversation about 911 and I suggested it was planned/coordinated with the Cheney administration (Bush was a patsy) and they said "there's no way that our government would destroy so many American lives just to manipulate the population" and I about pissed myself laughing.  You really think Dick's calculations consider 3000 "a lot"?!?  Only later did all the stuff about WTC7 come out.  IIRC there was a stash of gold and other precious metals as well as CIA document storage (that needed to be re-allocated).

Quote from: CNCAppsJames on November 05, 2025, 04:40 AMWe do dumb stuff and create a problem. Sometimes little, sometimes massive. in our hubris create a solution Sometimes something gets better, sometimes it gets a whole lot worse... being human and all we seriously never learn.

We've (the human race "we") have been screwing things up since the beginning.  We think we're all smart and stuff, but the reality is we're making the same mistakes and poor choices today that we made in the past albeit with more technology and often with more large scale consequences.
So you do acknowledge man-made climate change.  In your example, that is technological hubris 101.

As in the very profitable notion that we are competing with the Sun and all of earth's volcanoes put together and are somehow beating them at their own game?

Q: Do I believe we humans can and do affect the planet?
A: Yes

Q: Do I believe what the earth worshiping, destroy world economies, "scientists" and their sychophants believe?
A: No. To decide that the earth's temperature should be... is the pinnacle of hubris. The ball of fire in the sky gets a vote. Yellowstone gets a vote. Volcanoes get a vote. Your car... not so much. :coffee:

Since Billy boy is pulling back the money, and bringing up the "doomsday" adherents positions, earth worshipers are in panic mode. If the "settled 'science' " was truly "settled" there would be no need for panic because "the science" would stand on it's own merits. But it cannot stand. It can only be propped up by grant money.

"Oceans will boil."

Some people just need to be fed to wild animals. It would be more humane than letting maintain their hubris honestly.

You are absolutely adorable Nutboy, even when you have no idea what you're talking about.

Anyway, just thought I'd share some readily available information with you. And before you get your piss in a foam, let's ask this: If one were seeking expert, cutting edge, accurate manufacturing or machining advice, would they be better off with Nutboy's Fantastic Consulting Company, or with a climate scientist?

QuoteOver \(97\%\) of climate scientists believe that climate change is happening and that human activity is the main cause, with multiple studies finding a consensus of \(98\%\) to over \(99.9\%\). The consensus is based on peer-reviewed research and surveys of climate experts.      High percentage: Recent studies and surveys consistently show that between \(97\%\) and over \(99.9\%\) of climate scientists agree that the climate is warming and that human activity is the primary driver.  Specific survey findings: A 2021 survey of climate experts found that \(98.7\%\) said the climate is warming and humans are driving the change.  A 2024 study found that \(98\%\) of climate scientists are convinced global warming is happening and is human-caused.  Peer-reviewed literature: A 2021 study published in Environmental Research Letters found that "greater than \(99.9\%\) of studies" agree that humans caused climate change.  Consensus is well-established: This high level of agreement is based on multiple independent studies and a review of the scientific literature.

I'll go back to being a conservative, when conservatives go back to being conservative.
