Quote from: jstell on November 18, 2025, 12:58 PMThat certainly is part of the issue, that cable is not a "broadcast".  But Fox does still broadcast over the air.
CBS, NBC, ABC, Fox , The CW, PBS, Telemundo, and Univision are the ones I know.

Quote from: CNCAppsJames on November 18, 2025, 12:22 PMUS "Journalists" should not be able to claim "Independent" as their political affiliation.

They KNOW damn well they've NEVER voted for a Republican in their entire lives... and chances are they've never voted for an "American Independent" candidate either.

It's fraud to claim "Independent".

The right doesn't need many, because Fox lies so loud, and the rest are even nuttier.  And then Jeff just repeats verbatim.

One of the reasons the left has more news, and nobody like Rush or Hannity to rally around, is because there tends to be a slightly more nuanced dissection of current events - probably because there are actually policy discussions instead of just talking points and repeat-it-till-it's-true.  (Rachel Maddow aside)

Remember Air America Radio?  Nobody else does either, except maybe Al Franken.  It didn't work.  The left doesn't react to "news" shoveled at them by babbling idiots.  We have late night talk shows for that.  If we couldn't laugh about it, it would all just be too depressing.

If it were not for all the leftists watching Fox, it's ratings would be near non-existent.

So, they either can't lay off the rage bait, Fox is living #RentFree in their heads, or, they quietly agree with it.

I can count on one hand the number of times per year my wife and I watch the "news". We will watch when LA is burning. Our oldest son is an LA County Sheriff and is on a unit that goes out when the city is on fire and the mayor won't let LAPD off their leash. We watch then, or when there are natural disasters in places we know people, and around election night. That's pretty much it. There's just really no need anymore.

Facts lean left. Legitimate news organizations utilize facts in their reporting.

That, quite simply, is why the right whines about left leaning news.

It is a TV licence.... a licence to allow you to watch TV.... and even if you don't watch BBC, you still have to pay for the BS privilege.
Legally.
Enforceable.
