And there is no need to blow up Mexico when you close the border.

Not directly, but there are enough posts about it that it's not worth rehashing.

Trump just pardoned a man who was responsible for 400 tons of cocaine coming in to the United States. You really think it's about the drugs?

And do you really think that the words "closed border" means that no drugs are coming in to the US from Mexico?

You know I damn well that's not what I said.
But you also know there are a fuck of a lot less now than before when it was wide open during PedoJoe's reign.

When 90% of the drugs coming in to the Country come through Mexico, nearly all the fentanyl, why is the focus on Venezuela?

Because with the border closed, the fentanyl is largely coming in from their ports.

Coming in from who's ports? Venezuela's?

Virtually none of the illicit fentanyl supply in the United States comes from Venezuela. U.S. intelligence and counternarcotics experts confirm that Venezuela plays effectively no role in the production or significant trafficking of fentanyl to the U.S..

According to U.S. government reports and independent analyses from 2025:
Primary Source is Mexico: The U.S. State Department's March 2025 International Narcotics Control Strategy Report identified Mexico as the "only significant source of illicit fentanyl" affecting the U.S.. Mexican cartels manufacture the drug using precursor chemicals from China and India.

Venezuela is a Cocaine Transit Point: Venezuela is primarily a transit country for cocaine, most of which is ultimately bound for Europe rather than the U.S. market.

No Fentanyl Labs in Venezuela: There is no evidence of fentanyl production laboratories in Venezuela or anywhere else in South America.

Entry via Southwest Border: The vast majority of fentanyl enters the U.S. through official ports of entry along the Southwest land border, not via the Caribbean maritime routes associated with Venezuelan trafficking.

Despite claims made by the Trump administration in late 2025 linking Venezuela to the fentanyl crisis, U.S. military officials and experts have stated there was no fentanyl on the boats struck in the Caribbean, only cocaine.

For more official information, consult resources from the DEA or the Washington Office on Latin America (WOLA).

Voz is an extreme right wing media source and is going to tell you exactly what you want to hear while leaving out everything that you don't.

Just an fyi.

I'd never heard of Vox before.
Are you saying the maps of the drug routes into the Caribbean are wrong or don't really exist?
Are the boats and purpose built submarines we are sinking not really there... or are they just innocent
Venezuelans out for a  midnight cruise in their $200K 45 knot cigarette boats?

It's difficult to find any kind of unbiased news.
Since Trump started hitting drug boats, Maduro has morphed into an innocent good guy right before our eyes.

No. What I'm saying, is that they're not really answering any of the important questions.

1) How much of the illegal drugs flowing in to the US, comes from Venezuela

2) How much fentanyl, flowing in to the US, comes from Venezuela. Fentanyl is what's being sold as the excuse for indiscriminately blowing people up under this fake war.

I'll ask you the same thing I asked Jeff. If 90% of the drugs coming in to the US, especially when it comes to fentanyl which is supposedly the main concern, why the sudden focus on Venezuela?

Exactly. And the lefty TDS sufferers are scrambling to find anything to defend him.

Who gives a shit how much is coming into the U.S. from ANY country?
Any amount is too much.

Stop running drugs, and the boat strikes will stop. It's really that simple.

beej

Quote from: neurosis on December 05, 2025, 06:26 AMwhy the sudden focus on Venezuela?

The simple answer is because they are the low hanging fruit.
1) their people have been begging for a democracy there for many years
2) they have no way of striking back
3) by going after them as low hanging fruit, it puts pressure on the likes of columbia and mexico that we are not putting up with it.

all of that said, it sure seems like trump discredited his effort by pardoning the Honduran president. I can't help but wonder if that guy got a pardon by flipping and giving the government intelligence. but that's nothing but conjecture on my part and maybe wishful thinking.

Ha ha he's never going to answer that honestly

Oh look, Jeff is proven completely wrong (as usual) so he uses the always clever and original TDS retort.
