I'll go back to being a conservative, when conservatives go back to being conservative.

I went to the company Christmas lunch yesterday and saw a bunch of my ex coworkers.

Yeah, there were a hand full of people I would have enjoyed slapping the shit out of. Mostly management, or course. :)

They did have a nice lunch. Catered by Jack Stack. Pork ribs, burnt ends, brisket, sausage, and chicken. Along with cheesy corn and baked beans for sides. So they do that right.

Me and the wife, boy kid and his GF are headed to South Carolina the week between Christmas and New Year to hang out with the daughter's family.

Wife announced everybody is responsible for dinner one night.

FedEx dropped mine off yesterday in a styrofoam cooler. It's that same spread from Jack Stack, minus the chicken. Said on their website it would serve 8-10 and came in just over $200. Seemed like a bargain to me. We'll see how well it defrosts and heats up.

I've heard nothing but great things about mail order Jack Stack. They know what they're doing for sure.

Serving up a spread like that is going to raise the bar way high and make it tough for anybody who follows your lead. :)

South Carolina sounds like a nice trip. It should be warmer there and it's always nice to be near a beach.

We are going to Colorado this Sunday. The kids planned this a while back so we would have a better chance to have a white Christmas. A white Christmas has been rare in KC for a long time now. But the weather report for Colorado Springs forecasts temperatures in the 60s or higher all week long. I guess we can go up to the snow caps on top of the mountains though.

Personally I'd rather have a white sand Christmas than a white Christmas, but I try to be a good sport. :)

We have well over a foot of snow on the ground since Thanksgiving.

Yesterday it was 55 and rained hard. It was all gone by 9 last night.

It's in the teens and snowing like hell right now, but tomorrow is the 40s, before dropping back into the 20s for Sunday, then 50s again next week.

I really hate the roller coaster weather.
