No, corporate America has forever looked at plebian death (and the potential follow-on fines or lawsuits) as merely the cost of doing business.  It's baked into their margins.

Isn't it ironic that a lot of the people who cried about Obama blowing up terrorists or people aiding them, have now become the peanut gallery?

it is indeed. Relative moralism at it's finest. Until the country gets back to the belief that there is an objective moralism we will just keep having this debate one after another, thread after thread.

In the sprit of bi-partisanship lemme just say, killing terrorist is good. Also, killing drug traffickers is good. No matter what political party is giving the orders. :coffee:

I had no problem with Obama droning the terrorists he droned, even if they did carry American citizenship papers.
I felt bad about the 16 year old kid who got killed, but if he was hanging with his dad in the terrorist camps
in Yemen, he was probably a terrorist in training ... so good ridance.

Shirley, nobody really thinks these strikes are about drug interdictions, do they?

I was more on the side of thinking that Obama was a war criminal and was critical of the lack of transparency. I have the same opinion of what's going on now.

If they showed some proof that the people being blown up were actual "narco-terrorists" and not just villagers trying to make a few extra bucks so they can feed their families, I would probably be less sympathetic. Or that the drugs were actually heading to the US.  It would also make some difference if Trump wasn't pardoning one guy who was responsible for 400 tons of cocaine flooding toward the US while pretending that he's upset with Venezuela.

My tin-foil hat opinion is that they are fishing for a reaction from Venezuela so they can start a war. That would accomplish a few things for Trump.

It reminds me of Russia using the excuse of liberating Ukraine from the Nazis to invade Ukraine.
