Correct. But you, like most on the right, can't even define "fake news," let alone recognize it.

I guess most of the segment was leaked anyway.  Someone is going to get fired.

I'll go back to being a conservative, when conservatives go back to being conservative.

Keep in mind the Canadian "news" :coffee: media hates Trump more than our own media does so there's that.

Obviously. They ran the leaked segment.

Could have been a ruse by CBS execs to show their loyalty to the #OrangeManBad cause and save face. Giving it to Canada was the 80's equivalent to giving the story to the National Enquirer. They'll run anything.

Keep in mind the Canadian news has run 60 minutes forever, they already have regulation distribution deals. It's far less a conspiracy that they ran it and much more Bari Weiss doesn't know enough about how the company she runs works

I can understand how that segment would piss the Trump admin off.

There was nothing important in there that people weren't already aware of. 1)Trump, Kristi Noem, and Karoline Leavitt, all lied about who was being sent to CECOT and why. 2)There have been several reports of human rights violations at CECOT, so that's not a secret.

What's the big deal?

Enter the US illegally, you kinda earn whatever happens.

I mean, if I were to enter Canada or Mexico illegally and I had some pretty bad stuff happen to me after law enforcement got hold of me... I kinda have it coming, no?

Don't want to accept the penalties of breaking the rules, you kinda need to not break the rules. I mean... we pretty much learn that as a toddlers no.

There HAS to be penalties for entering our sovereign nation illegally. STIFF penalties otherwise it will continue. We cannot continue to let unscrutinized people in our country unabated.

That's where you and a lot of people are going to disagree. Some of those people were here seeking asylum. The reports say that at least half of the people who were sent there had no criminal record at all, either here, or in their own Country. A small percent were what we were told were being sent there. The "rapists," "savages," "monsters," and "the worst of the worst". They even aired video of Noem standing in front of a cell full of El Salvador gang members to mislead the American public in to thinking it was a group of people who had been deported from the US

Not many people think that someone deserves to be sent to a place like CECOT and potentially disappeared for the rest of their life because they were looking for a better life for themselves. I certainly wouldn't think that someone who calls themselves a Christian would (sarcasm) But then, that was the whole point, right? To make examples out of them as a deterrent? That's why in my opinion, it's important for this story to be run.

The point of this episode is that there were rules broken... by the drumpf administration.  So clearly the orange idiot and his sycophants did not learn this as toddlers.  By the way he acts though, maybe he still is a toddler.

No, not "whatever" happens.  They deserve to have their cases heard in front of an immigration judge, especially those who were working their way thru the asylum process.  Some of them were in fact kidnapped by Noem's masked thugs right outside the courts they were attending to move their immigration and residency cases along.

When this administration decides to abide by the rule of law, they certainly have the right to enforce them.  But as it stands it's just a bunch of hypocritical bs parading as self-righteous indignation.  What a lying asshole.

Who broke immigration law first? The people that came here illegally and fraudulently.

The majority of those "Asylum" cases are fraudulent. They were coached by leftist sympathizers what to say and how to say it.

As far as the #OrangeManBad "breaking the law" to speedily deport illegal immigrants and fraudulent asylum seekers... I 100% voted for that. Pretty much by any means necessary as far as I'm concerned. There was not one single deterrent for these illegal aliens and "asylum" seekers before Trump. Not. One. Now that there's at least some teeth to the process, perhaps we can keep them at bay, or at the very least stem the tide.

Extraordinary circumstances require extraordinary action.

"Due process" should not apply to illegal aliens or people committing fraud to gain access to the US.

That's not their fault.

Also, not their fault.

As far as asylum seekers go, I think we're holding the wrong people responsible?

Here! Come in to the Country!  Fuck you! Now go straight to CECOT sucker!
