Imma gonna have a cheese burger for breakfast to celebrate!

RFK Jr.'s new dietary guidelines go all in on meat and dairy

Excerpt:
QuoteHealth Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. has announced new dietary guidelines for Americans focused on promoting whole foods, proteins and healthy fats.

At a press conference Wednesday, the administration unveiled a new food pyramid with red meat, cheese, vegetables and fruits pictured at the top.

Kennedy described the guidelines as the most significant reset on nutrition policy in history, calling for an end to policies that promote highly refined foods that are harmful to health.

also, I noticed that the meat was raw. I think that eating raw steaks would probably be better for gut health.  ;D

Yeah, the cereal brands have been helping kids eat unhealthy for a long time.  It wouldn't surprise me if General Mills had a hand in making that stupid pyramid from when I was a kid.

I try to eat pretty close to what RFK's new pyramid looks like

this is a little off topic, but when I was a kid, I grew up in a family of 7 boys, on a farm. We butchered our own beef, pork and chickens. Every year we butchered a hundred chickens, 4 hogs, and a steer. We never ate out at a sit down restaurant, and we might have got fast food 1-2 times a year.

at school I would hear about kids going to McDonalds, and I would be so jealous because all I ever got to eat was T-bones, Fried Chicken or smoked ham.  Seems funny to me now.

I lived overseas and there was no fast food, period.
We'd come back to the states on vacation every summer.
I still remember seeing a McDonalds on Colfax Ave in west Denver.
I'm guessing I was 8 years old so it was 1962.
On the sign it said "over 1 million sold". My dad took us there and even at that age I thought it sucked.
We came back on vacation every year and the number sold got bigger and bigger.
The biggest I remember was "over 2 billion sold". They don't do that any more.

In the early 90's I stopped at McDonalds with my Alaskan Malamute, Bandit.
We were both starving and I bought us both a burger.
When I gave Bandit his burger, he sniffed it, looked me straight in the eye and said
"No, Dad, I'm not eating that".
I haven't been to McDonalds's since.

Most people would likely lose a lot of weight too.

Because they would throw that raw shit up.

JFK jr is frustrating because his "real food" mandate is good and American processed food has long been a joke.....

but then he surrounds it with all kinds of batshit insanity
