hey does anyone here ever use the cnczone.com mastercam forums? im just curious because i dont ever go on that one and i am not even a member of that site but i looked over some of the posts over there today and man the questions on that forum are pretty silly. to me it looks like the worst place possible to get help with questions from what i seen, most of the responses and people asking questions seem like they are at a really basic or low level with the software, much worse than what i find on emastercam for example and ofcourse worse than this place since most of us here have been around the mastercam block for a while.

I was almost thinking about joining to provide some help but i don't know if i want to contribute over there, any of you guys been over there on that forum and if so what are your thoughts?
this is the one im talkin about, seems like a really generic forum for lots of cam softwares it appears. https://www.cnczone.com/forums/mastercam">https://www.cnczone.com/forums/mastercam

I used to go on there years ago and offer what little help I was capable of.

The forums are too big so the traffic is pretty sparse.

Try it out?

yea it doesn't seem like they get much traffic over there for the mastercam stuff, probably since most people looking for a mastercam forum end up going to emastercam. I was just curios because i was just doing a google search today to see if there are any good forums that i am not a member of already for mastercam and when i stumbled across that one it seemed like the crappiest one i have ever seen.

I'm not going to say that it's crappy.

By sparse, I mean that it's not very consistent.  Most of the traffic isn't in the MC forum.

EMC was definitely the best place to go for help.  Maybe we will change that over the next couple of years.   :D

I occasionally go to cnc  zone and Practical machinist. Usually if I am working with a freak Machine.
And see if anyone else has One. You know Like a MITEK or a Mori with that swing tool changer.
I will look when I'm there to see if I can possibly answer a Question. But yea it is NOT about the software so much
as it is about the machining on those two sites.
Not knocking them they have value.
Just depends what you are looking for.

I went there years ago when starting out and before I found this place.

There was a guy named "superman" that was pretty damn good.  I wonder if he's on here too.

Haven't been there in ages though.
