The Tampa Bay vs Florida Panthers game was excellent, very fast and tons of hits.

Unfortunate cheap shot on Kucherov at the end of game 4.
I hope he can continue because he was Tampa Bay's best player through the first four games.

The Islanders are giving Pittsburgh all they have.
Lots of experts predicted this series would go the whole seven games, and that looks like it could come true.
Game 5 tonight!!

Glad Washington was eliminated so nobody else has to worry about Tom Wilson ending their series or their career with his cheap-shot bullshit.

I wanted to see the Pens play Boston in the 2nd round, but after losing Game 5 to the Islanders they are now facing elimination.

Tristan Jarry made a HUGE mistake in 2OT that handed the Isles the Game 5 win, so now the Pens have their backs against the wall.
It's a shame because he played so well thus far, but a mistake is a mistake, and all they can do now is bring their 'A' game to Long Island on Wednesday night and try to push it to Game 7 back on home ice.

Unlike like Basketball, the team with the "world's best player" doesn't always win in hockey.

Go Leafs!!!

Me too.
They played a great series against the Pens and they deserved the win.

Now I will be rooting for Vegas and MA Fluery to win the cup!  :cheer:

I said at the beginning of this thread that the Pens had goalie problems....they outshot the NYI every game.

Jarry actually has a pretty good season @ 25-9 during the abbreviated schedule.
I think his lack of playoff experience was what hurt him the most, and the fact that his teammates left him hanging more than they should have.
Aside from that huge blunder in the Game 5 2OT, he actually wasn't all that bad.
If his team was able to take the lead and keep it, they would have probably won the series.

I also give credit to the Islanders for responding time after time when they were behind.
It's definitely a team sport, so I blame the whole team for losing, not just one guy.
Chances Mike Sullivan stays on as Head Coach after another Round 1 playoff exit are slim and none.

Well the Islanders are continuing to impress, and the so-called 'best player in hockey' is folding like a cheap suit.  :harhar:

The playoffs separate the men from the boys, and Nathan McKinnon is finding that out the hard way.
Yes, he is a gifted player, but until he powers his way through the playoffs and gets his name etched on that big trophy, he will not have achieved his full potential.

And until he does it the THIRD time, he will always be in Sidney Crosby's shadow.  :harhar:

Connor McDavid is by far the best hockey player in the world. His stats are hall of fame already. He is 4th all time in points per game. He will be picked by his fellow players again as the the best player.

There is a documentary on the experimental recovery of his knee injury, he is lucky to be playing. One of his tendons was torn and completely separated from the bone.

McKinnon is a very good hockey player and considered one of the best. Colorado has the youngest defence core in the league.

LOL
I know the kid is good.
He just hasn't proven he is Stanley Cup good.
Until then he will stay in Crosby's shadow. :harhar:

Seriously though, if I were an Avs fan I would be very optimistic about the future.
They have a good core group of young players who will only get better.

Actually young guys like McDavid and McKinnon are the future of the league, but they both still need to win the big one to reach their potential.
