Exciting news.

QuoteHello,

I am excited to announce the release of Mastercam 2022 to the general public. You can find the downloads for Mastercam and Mastercam 2022 for SOLIDWORKS on the downloads page of my.mastercam.com. Please visit whatsnew.mastercam.com to see the new features in Mastercam 2022 and Mastercam 2022 for SOLIDWORKS.

Note: This is not the same build as Mastercam 2022 PC3. You will need to completely uninstall previously released versions of Mastercam 2022 and install the RTM version.

I've been running MC2022 for several months now in various beta and production candidates versions
I think I've written 2 or 3 bug reports over this beta cycle... and one was a case of ACI on my part
This is a solid release with a lot of nice upgrades.  :_thumbup:

Matt will chime in and bitch about the interface in 3   2  1

I'll be installing it tomorrow.  That's good news.  I usually wait a while before installing new releases. 2021 had some issues and I still notice some pretty annoying (but not game stopping) bugs.  I'm hoping that they are taken care of in 2022.

I cut a few 1000 parts with it, nothing wrong with the stuff i use, they actually fixed some association issue with toolpaths in mc2022.

Well, I'm liking it so far.   Having to get used to some new options but seems to be pretty stable.

I installed it yesterday. Waiting for CNC to release the SDK so that CAMplete can update the plug-in then I'll use it and uninstall 2021. :)

I'm starting to think that new waterline tool path wasn't done brewing yet.  :D    I've run in to a series of issues with it. The main at the moment is that it's not respecting containment boundaries.  Specifically - to outside.

Toolpaths in Toolpath Manager... the lighter color a little harder on the eyes.

Did you check your boundaries for leaks?

Working on a new project. In MC2022 made an 18" by 75.5" rectangle. Working on it for awhile and...analyze tells me its 1.988" in length (supposed to be 75.5"!). Messed around some more. Same. Lengths are wayyyy off. Radii really tiny, etc.

Don't have time to open back up and experiment so closed 2022 and went back in MC2021. Did exact same thing and everything normal (as expected).

Very odd.

I'll play around a bit in MC2022 Monday to see it it does it again. In MC2021 as I need to get a head start on this project.
